Okay, so, I'm a newish th9. I usually use barch (just got level 6 archers, barbs going up rn). I'm wondering how good the loot is up on c3 and if I'm able to farm that loot with my troops. I've always farmed at 1800 or below so I'm not sure how it would go up there. Also, say how many nexts it takes you to find, let's say a raid that has at least 150k+ resources.
Try Gold League.. best league IMO.

Loot is always a moving target, but personally, I have never seen much loot in crystal 3 in all the times I have ever tried farming there. But if you like to hit that next button a lot, c3 is great for that. The added bonus imo has never made up for, in my experience, the ♥♥♥♥ loot. Dead bases near nonexistent, and decent storage raids few and far between. The most success I've ever had in c3 is to maintain trophies in the 1900's... you still get the loot bonus and I believe you also find more worthwhile bases to farm.
There is a big jump in the loot bonus from G1 to C3 and from C1 to M3.
In C3 you can get 100 DE for every win that you don't get in G1.
Yes, you may need to hit next a few more times but the extra loot bonus is worth it.
I like C2 and try to stay between 2150-2200 because there are a lot of easy TH8 and an occasional TH7 to victimize.
M3 is OK too but it takes longer to build a suitable army so there are fewer loot bonuses but they are bigger. It is a trade off.
One thing is for sure. When you get to M3 there are no more goofy bases. Bad bases get culled before reaching M3.
As a th9 myself I've spent plenty of time in both gold and crystal. I got my best gold and elixir in gold 2-3, but low DE there. The DE in c3-2 can be fantastic, I've had 50k days there without boosting, but really everything varies by the day. Haven't been down there in a week or two now, going to champ now, but it depends on what you're looking for.

What a lot of people on these forums suggest and, subsequently, I heeded their advice and do, is to get into C3 then drop to around 1920'ish trophies. This allows you to get the DE bonus but you still get the good elix and gold bases in G1
Anyone advising anything under c3 for th9 have no idea how important DE is. I see so many late th9 and early th10 with trash heroes that are like level 10. If you ever want to get powerful heros (as in level 25 and above) you want to stay at LEAST at c3. I've been barching between c3 and m1 and have been upgrading my heroes almost non stop.
