So if you spend 40 gems on 4 racs that is 32 whole cents

You are fussing over 16 cents

If you boost everything you can bost attack wise it will take 90 gems or 72 cents. You can't hardly buy a can soda out the store for 72 cents
With the 2-hour boosts, I will boost a few times a week at most, spread across my accounts. I have three accounts, have spent $25 on one and $20 on another, and close to buying gems on the third. So I might boost each account once or twice a week, or if I'm focussing on one account in particular, I'll boost that one account 3-4 times in a week, and let the other 2 sit idle.

With a 1-hour boost, I would boost twice a day (total, not per account). I would even be willing to pay 6 gems instead of 5, so the equivalent of 12 gems by the current rate of 10 gems per 2 hours. So right now I'm spending maybe 100-150 gems a week. With a 6-gem boost for 1 hour (including spell factor and hero), I'd spend 72 gems per day most likely, at least 5 days a week. My gem usage would go way up.

I don't have hard numbers, but I've seen this requested often enough to know that I'm not alone. Gem sales would increase, I'm fairly certain. Supercell probably knows this as well, but they either haven't figured out an interface for multiple boost options (the 2-hour boost should still be there as well), or they're afraid to tinker with their money-making flagship game.
Dragons: You either love them or hate them. Well, or maybe both... Or maybe you don't care...
Regardless of how you feel about dragons, please see this suggestion for Rebalancing Town Hall 7, which is primarily focused around rebalancing dragons.

I totally agree with you. I hope that supercell changes soon the system boost for the barracks and heroes to increase the pleasure of the game but also for their interests.

I wouldn't mind this if they make it 7-8 gems per boost.

There seems to be 2 threads basically about the same thing here.

    http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...buy-gems/page4

8 gems for a 1 hour boost would be too steep...I know I would probably just spend the extra 2 gems per and make it 2 hours, even if I wasn't planning to raid for the full 2 hours.

Some people seem to think it should be 5, but that's just because that's what they want, and obviously the economics of that don't work.

6 might work, but 7 seems to be the sweet spot.

But echoing what others have said...most people probably spend 40-70 gems to boost barracks/heroes/spell factory for a 2 hour raiding session. If 1 hour were to cost 7 gems each, that's 12-21 gems you'd be saving if you could boost 1 hour instead of 2.

Basically, between a dime and a quarter's worth of gems, which is also less than you get from a gem box, or pulling a week's worth of trees and bushes.

Of course the reason people are asking for it, I think, has a lot less to do with the actual price than it does the feeling that they are wasting gems if they don't raid for the full 2 hours when they boost.

The reality though is even if you only use an hour of your boost, and therefore "waste" half the gems you spent boosting, its still the most profitable (and most fun) way to spend your gems in the game. (For comparison, it's not that hard to make 1.5-2m total gold + e and at least a few thousand de spending 70 gems for an hour of raiding. The same number of gems will get you about 600k total if you boost mines or collectors, or around 100k if you buy it directly. )

So yeah, I don't see this happening.
