TH9 Going to Champ

6 weeks you gained 200 trophies and still sitting on purple walls. Your wasting valuable game time instead of improving your base strength. You are hitting that Revenge button for hours instead of farming millions of loot for walls at TH9.
You can be done Town Hall 9 in under 3 months with full lavas if you farm in gold league. But if you want to spend another 6 weeks for another 200 trophies to get to Champs at TH9 instead of efficiently upgrading and having real fun with the rest, your call.


If you want a TH9 strategy, use 3 Golems and WiWiPe. 1 jump 2 rage and 1 heal. Attack furthest away from Inferno's Towers.

What makes you think he is not having "real" fun? Its a game, there's no need to rush or feel you are not being efficient if you don't keep builders busy 24/7. One of the most enjoyable part of the game is pushing to Champs for the first time. No rush like it!

Clannie TH9 just went there yesterday. All he did was loon and he's at 3337 or so. I'd say looning is easier.

Did it with Barch myself. Kept TH out which for the most part was generally sniped.

If I did it again it would be Loon though. Easier route in my eyes.

Hey guys

I'm level 111 TH9 heading to champ for the first time, currently at 3033 and moving up steadily. I'm fully def maxed except xbows (they're level 2), walls I've got 26 or so lvl 7's left (unfortunately didn't fully max those at th8), rest are 8's and 9's, heroes are K 15 and Q 16.
Been using mainly HoBarch (16-20 hogs, then barbs and archers) plus 4 wizards and 8 wallbreakers, as well as a CC golem (unfortunately just lvl 1, I've been feeding them to myself from my Th8 account for convenience sake). Clear with healed/raged hogs, then funnel the wizards and queen in behind the golem with some wallbreakers to grab an extra 20-30% and often the second star as well. Found it quite effective so far, had good luck with it.
Also thrown in the occasional lavaloonian hit and a few gowiwi's, but mainly going with HoBarch since it's so much faster to train.

Not much luck on defenses up here, tried a number of layouts but past 2850 or so haven't won any defs at all. May be luck, not sure. Any general tips on layouts that work well, adjustments to army comp, hero usage, CC troop change, anything?

My previous record was 2846, about 6 weeks ago, never been up this high before so it's all pretty new, scoping it out as I go. Any tips helps, appreciate it!

I made it not to long ago, I did it with lavaloonion. 3 hounds 20 loons and 15 minions. Plus a lvl 3 hounds in the cc. Offensively if you are good with hobarch then I say go for it. The battles get much tougher after 3000 my toughest battles were from 3000 to 3200. The toughest part was working in 2 or 4 hr boost sessions and gaining 30 -50 trophies and then one loss and you lose 40 trophies.

So my advice don't be afraid to hit next of there is any doubt you can get the 1 star and put your th outside. Defense is worthless as a th9. The cheap shield is better than the the 3 star. Good luck

Best advice: leave your TH outside. Especially with your wall levels, you will not win defenses up there in the swarm of TH10s. However, said TH10s will gladly use their lvl 40 AQ only to snipe you and get 150k league bonus without having to retrain army. You will save loot and cups this way.I just did the push last week and every time I log I got sniped for -8 to -10. Much better than getting smashed for -20 or more

This....may seem to slow you down but in the long run is much more effective. By the way just did my run with hogs archers and goblins....sitting at 3325 right now. 🐖💨

This is exactly what I started doing, you may as we'll because you won't really win any defences. Above 3000, 4/5 of my defences were -1 snipes from a level 40 queen, basically a free shield!
