Me again,
i just managed to 3* early th9(no aq). Very easy base, but i killed that AD in the beginning, that i failed in the past for multiple times.
Thank u for that![]()

I would also like to learn a strategy that is effective at 3*'ing without heros if one exists.![]()
Absolutely! As soon as I get the footage for Scouting Formula 3.0 I am going to branch out into ground attacks. Currently my Valks are level2, but as soon as I get them to level4 you can count on some Valk strategies. Try to stay subbed long enough!
I just gave you the tools, you swung the hammer! Great job, Diavolo! Keep wrecking scrubs
I think of heroes as "additions" to attack strategies, which means that depending on the strategy, you can definitely succeed with 1 or no heroes. For example, on a cold-blood laloon, we need to take out the AQ and 1 AD... very doable with 1 hero depending on the base.
My point, I guess, is that when you become good enough with a particular strategy, you learn to be able to execute it with a handicap, that is, without 1 or both heroes. So just keep practicing strategies like CB LaLoon, Penta, GoWiWi Loon and eventually you'll spot bases that you can 3-star without both royals![]()
Sounds awesome, castles! Just sent in my application

So, I mentioned a few days ago that I heard of GoVaLo for TH8 bases with centralized AD. I get the basics, but obviously I have no access to witches, jump spells or level 6 balloons. The troop composition I came across was
2 Golem
5 Valks
12 balloons
6 wizards
6 WB
3 barb
1 arch
2 heal/1 rage
cc max witches
Now, against a max TH8 with AD666 in the core, surrounded by level 8 walls, I know I would have a hell of a time getting into the middle with the above troops. Not to mention that many have referred to level 5 balloons as "diry, flying carpetbags", and 12 is not a big number. I assume the rage is for the core- are the heals for the balloons?
Is this even a feasible attack against a max base?
My initial thought is that adding Valks, although fun, is simply not smart. Wizards and Witches are a more viable option because of their ability to attack across walls, i.e. they are ranged, Valks are not.
Walls are literally the worst enemy of Valks and Golems... so when you are trying to get to the core to destroy all of the ADs, you want to try to bring as few Golems and Valks as necessary to get the job done.
If I were you and I wanted to use a Go____Lo style attack, I'd stick with GoWiLo.
Beyond that, Valks take 8 housing spaces. That means for every Valk, you could have 2 Wiz... I'd much rather have 10 Wiz firing over walls, than 5 Valks getting hung up.
Try GoWiLo with...
2 Golems, 15 Wiz, 8 WBs, 3 Barb, 1 Arch, CC Witch.
As for the spells, you use all of the spells on the ground troops, typically. The success of the raid depends upon your ground troops destroying all of the ADs. If they don't destroy the ADs, you fail. So, heal your troops to get them to the core, then rage them at the core to get the ADs down.
You may encounter situations where you get to save a spell, or you bring 2 rage instead of 2 heals... Clash is situational!
