Hey castle. I'm pretty much what you were at the start. A th9 always messing Up. Right now this is where I'm at. Maxed out troops except for.golems which are upgrading to lv3.
maxed out base except some lava walls and heros


Every time I have done pentalaloon I ended up either failing badly or 2 starring with 98% . I've been watching your videos and learning a lot but this base I am put up against is a anti 3 star type base and not sure how to approach it.



I was thinking of doing a cold blooded you near the top right and get in and take out the AQ, air def and wiz tower but I only have my AQ. Bk is upgrading

Thoughts please?

Hey Deadtoast, thanks for getting in touch! Man, I remember the days of struggle, haha. The base you are scouting is the perfect base to hit with a Cold-Blood LaLoon... but you don't have your BK. You can succeed with a cold-blood without 1 hero, but it can be difficult, particularly when the AQ is behind 2 lawyers of walls.

So maybe you should avoid the cold-blood, unless you want to gem your BK.

I considered using a GoWiPe with Loons, but that attack isn't ideal for this base either, because the air defences aren't close enough together.

That leaves you with a Penta, as far as air is concerned. Typically I do not recommend using a Penta against a max TH9, but you don't have many other options and the air defences are very vulnerable, so it might work!

I would put 2 Lavas on the SW air defence, 2 Lavas on the NW air defence, and 1 Lava on the SE air defence. Remember to only use 1 loon on ground defences, 2 on anti air.

Hey Castles, great thread. I've been following it loosely for a few weeks and it's inspired me to invest in Lava Hounds as a TH9.

There is a base that I wanna use a Penta on and from your scouting formula it looks like a Penta will work except for his Lvl3 Xbows. However his Archer Queen is placed right outside his base and is fairly close to an Air Defence, so I'm also considering doing a Cold Blood. I am a bit nervous though since it will be my 1st LaLoon attack in war. I've kinda worked out placement for a Cold Blood, how would you handle this base with a Penta?


P.S What happened to the Gowiwi Loon and Hog Hyrbid videos?
