The title of the forum is "Ideas and feature requests."

You too have broken several rules of the forum, and have yet to properly reaction in a reasonable manner, let alone answer my simple requests early on in the thread. Since no one else here seems to be clear headed enough right now to even deal with a simple thread, I am reporting this as a totaly loss and suggest having it deleted from the forum. As always, it will be a moderator's call on acting on it, and he or she still have the authority to judge things in anyway they see fit.

Remember PresidentCamacho, the reports you do go straight to the mods themselves, and not to some automated system. Reporting while ticked off is a good way to shoot yourself in the foot, as you provide the mods evidence against yourself to have disciplinary actions done towards you. But like the report button on global, do not over do it. Even though I report often, it is mostly flagging threads for cleanup, and not for behavioral issues with other forum goers.

When I feel like it is a waste of time to continue trying to resolve a conflict I have with someone, I warn them, and if they call my bluff, I report it, since obviously I lack the ability to fix it right there and then, and want the issue resolved so things can get done. And I report knowing I may very well be getting myself in trouble. It is either that, or waste more time bickering.

For clear and blatant violations, I just report right then and there, especially when in a mood to not take any more ♥♥♥♥ from anyone or anything.

Sorry that your experience here was miserable, but part of it is your doing as well. I highly recommend you step back from this, and review things once you have calmed down, and see where things went wrong. Because I am even less tolerate of people not putting in the effort to learn from their mistakes (success or failure at learning is a different issue, working at it as best as possible is all I can logically ask for).

This is the IDEA AND FEATURE REQUESTS forum.
I did NOT make this thread to take issue with my treatment or my friend's treatment.
While many people have jumped to that conclusion, it is false.
So NO, I will not be going into the details of my friend getting a 2-day ban, because that is NOT relevant.

I made this thread to suggest a procedural change.
Specifically, I think it would be nice for the moderators to give a warning before a ban.
That's all. No additional detail necessary.

I really didn't think this would be so controversial.
But it clearly upset some people that I dared to have this idea and post it to the *idea forum*.

Do you really think it's helpful to respond to my idea with "The ban IS the warning"?

Most times, but not always, people come here after seeing a problem, aka an issue, and post a way to fix it, and improve the game.

Your first, very short, post implied you had an issue with the ban feature.

Then things went down hill fast because someone was blunt with you. You pushed back, they pushed back, and now it is everyone else's fault for bickering at who started it. The first post is the post that sets the tone of the whole thread! So, fix it! And as soon as you can. Why did I have to ask for a third time to do a simple thing that could help you out?

As for the others giving you a hard time, @#$% them (insert own four letter insult). The argument on this side issue is useless. Get to the point! Yes, easier said than done (way easer said than done...) ignore them for right now. If you can't, abandon this thread, send a report to a mod to have them close it for you, and leave for a while until the dust settles before posting a better thread.

I am so damn annoyed seeing people talk past each other here. I know some here are level headed most times, but being human, is unfortunately is not one of those times.

Which ban? Global channel ban? Account ban? Rubberban'? Rock Ban'? It is too open a statement.

Get rid of the 'edit' notes and redo it. It looks likes a reaction to a post further down, which is backwards to how it is supposed to work.

Details man, where are they?! You just cannot assume other can read your mind. It is what got this whole thread on the totally wrong direction, because someone assumed one thing, and bluntly gave you an answer based on that assumption. (and you know the old bad joke if you 'assume')

On top of that, not only was it a bad assumption, but had flaws in it the answer as well. Then that got picked apart, and now we are here, on a thread with a dozen or two reports on it, pages into the topic, and with, zero, nada, zippo, zilch, nothing useful to show for it self, while explaining to a ticked off newbie how best to post and handle bad feedback. (damn it, where is that mocking 'welcome to the Internet' sign... whatever... screw it. Don't need it).

Fix the first post. It looks bad. But then again, this thread maybe removed at any moment too, so maybe it is best to just leave it for now and rethink how to post next time.

All the possible reasons for the temp/Permanent BAN are mentioned in the ToS.

Gamers with nice attitude and fair play do not tend to get banned.

Assume a condition where a person starts abusing on the global for no reason / as a retaliation to an another abuse. An instant ban would make the global a more peaceful place than giving him a chance and then go on for another some time.

Even game abusers will and shall be banned without prior notice cause when you start playing the game you have agreed to follow the rules, and when you decide to walk away from them I do not see any reason any one should be given a second chance unless they are penalised or agree not to do it in the future resulting to a permanent ban.
