"*Donating (or trading) resources or gems to (with) other players" has been ruled out.
BUT
What if you had a REAL reason to join a dedicated farming clan?
My idea...
What if a (very small) percent of all loot collected each day for the entire clan was given back as bonus loot?
For all intensive purposes, this could not be abused. This isn't another idea that people would just make multiple accounts to "donate" loot.
There are war clans, farming clans, and a mix of both with the new clan rewards... But I think this brings in a whole other reason to join an active clan and keep it full.
For the sake of argument, lets say this hasn't been ruled out in the original definition.
Math
50 members:
50 million gold/elixir per day
.5% of that is 250k.
Other ideas to expand off the original:
Possible limitations based on TH level to keep people from leeching as a lower TH.
To receive the loot you have to have so many attacks that day/week.
The more you put in, the higher your % of loot.
Highest loot of the day receives bonus.
What are your thoughts?
Do you hate or like the idea?
What would you do differently?
