I'm a th8 soon to be th9 farming around 1600 trophies. I usually use an army of 5 giants 5 wall breakers and the rest archers and goblins. Currently I raid about 1-2 thousand a day. I am able to find bases with dark elixir but I usually unable to get to it. Should I switch my army? If so what should I use? Should I push up in trophies?
Train 10 archers and how ever many lightning spells you can train go find a farmer with tons of DE and lighning spell it or just a guy in general that has tons of it (but you will lose trophies to non farmers).

Try zapping DE storages with over 2000 in them, its what I did and I still do to farm tons of DE without training gowipes or core cracking armies for it because I'm lazy.
Stop zapping, learn to raid, get better troops, you don't need hero's, I'm sick to death of people saying zapping is a good strategy. Poor babies.
I occasionally do that to people on my revenge list so they can't attack me and take it back.
All my farming troops are max for th8. I just have trouble getting to the storage.
It's not that us zappers don't know how to raid; we just want to be efficient. As a TH9, I use giant healer to raid storages on TH8's and weak TH9's.Originally Posted by puddle

That's TWO type of raids I'm looking for while nexting so the DE per hour is great (at least 8000 per hour with spell factory boosted).
Quit hating on zappers. We know how to raid - better than you, in fact, because we are raiding DE far faster.
TH 11 lvl 178 max walls; 45/45/20 heroes
TH 10 lvl 148 91 magmas; 40/40 heroes
TH 9 lvl 124 250 lavas; 30/30 heroes
I'll give giant healer a shot. Where are you in terms of trophies?
Maxing out both dark drills at th9 will be a big help they'll give you 2400 a day each
use BAM, boost barracks, and raid every base with reasonable DE and base.
zap the DE if there's lots and the base is difficult, they wont mind.
