Shield Breaker Spells

Sick of never getting chance to revenge, making it a pointless part of game!
Why not have 'shield breaker spells' to make this a used part of game again!
Maybe 2-4/ season which would allow revenge even if players had shield.
Not sure if shields purchased with gems could be separated , but u shouldn't waste gems on shields anyway
If online this would not work though.

This feature would be hard to implement, since you can't even Attack players who have a sheild in the first place how would you get to drop a spell on them that breaks their shield?



I think a better way to do this would to just allow players to revenge even if the player they are trying to revenge had a shield.

Poke revenge targets every now and then through out the day and evening, and you too can have a chronic lack of revenge buttons to use, like me! Already done 2-3 revenge attacks in the last 24 hours! And after waiting for them to be ripe for raiding! Could have attacked them much much sooner, but would have been a waste of time.

Revenge system doesn't seem too broken and useless at my end. Are you pointing the thing in the right direction before pulling the trigger? (OK Lol sorry, that was a bit mean. )

Otherwise, no. That idea will not work. Way too overpowered a spell. Might as well break the game and install the other half of a 'win button' if you could just spend whatever amount of Elixir (or Dark Elixir or worse, gems) to bypass people's Shield.

Even worse, granted in my opinion, is just to have the Shield bypassed altogether for revenge! That would set a new precedent that I think Supercell would regret more than the Elixir/Wall thing they had to backtrack on.

While I know many players get frustrated with not being able to revenge, before you ask for a change i offer this thought. If you are a daily player, my guess is you probably attach a lot more than you get attacked. For me I probably make 10-15 attacks a day, others who are more active might do more. I get attacked 1-2 times a day. If people I attack could bypass my shield, I'd get attacked 11-17 times a day ! Everytime I logged in, I'd have no reasorces!


So before you put forth this idea, go count your attacks vs your defenses..... Make sure you are not shooting yourself in the foot.

Check the source. I was ironicly ranting at and threatening to report people for being derps and repeatedly saying an idea as ruled out when it wasn't, and I said it wasn't early on.

So yeah, threatening to go crazy vigilante on people just when I get the forum rank of "I'M BATMAN" kind of made my day.

Not sure why you dismissed revenging whilst they are online --- a far better solution in my opinion.....

The spells was just a figure of speech, would just be option once u pressed the revenge button.
'Would you like to use 1 of your revenge spells' for example.

The revenge IS broken, hardly anyone uses it. Out of the whole def list I have ZERO revenge option.
And not overpower if limited to just few per season.

I can only say that, yes, the revenge feature is mostly unuseable by most casual players.

I'm the exception that proves the point (because I have little to no life... No really!). I have sleep issues from depression issues, so I spend time kinda sorta enjoying CoC much longer than most players. I'm able to spot and exploit opening in base Shields (even farming bases and there easy to get shields!) so I can get my attacks in (which seems to be an annoying 1am to 3am in the morning most times. ) Not only do I get attacks in, but attack when I feel like it is one of the more ideal moments to attack. If I didn't hold off on attacking when I got the first chance to attack, I would have 0 revenge buttons left on my defence log. But I usually have only 6 to 11 revenge buttons on my defence log, since I wait for when it is more worth it to attack (usually zap TH9s, but sometimes raid for real).

So, I can say, from experience, just how bad the revenge feature is... and it sucks. Even if you can revenge, getting anything meaningful on what usually is a stronger base is even less likely. The shield issue I argue is from the horrifically bad gameplay in CoC's defence, but it is only part of it. Ironicly I 3 starred a TH9 with a mass dragon raid, not a rushed base, because of luck and poor layout vs air units (surprised the hell of of me. I just wanted enough damage to get their Dark Elixir with extra loot as a bonus, but got the whole thing Reminds me of my TH7 days breaking TH8s...)

Also I can say from time here in the forum, messing with the shield system in a negative way will cause some to be in an uproar, and some argue in a not-so-level-headed manner, and have been waring people when I could about this. It is not fun, and in short, don't do it. The current situation with defence just will not allow such things to be tolerated, trust me on this.
