I've used giants to tank for hogs in the past, but only for the cc lure. Never considered using them all the way around the base similar to a laloon.

Anybody have any links to a th9 version? Or tips?

Feel free to use this strategy yourself, I am yet to find a TH8 base that I cannot 3 star with this amazing attack strategy!

i think killing the cc troops with ur guide is actually a bad way, because it's gonna kill ur golem too fast. Best strategies to kill cc troops as th8:

1. 1 Balloon

This take a lot of practice, but if u get it right, it's an extremely cheap trade.

2. Bring 2 Witches and a barb in the cc instead of 5 hogs

bringing 20 hogs are usually enough to destroy an entire base with 3 heal, so drop about 3 or 4 barbs before ur cc witches. then after following the cc, drop 1-2 wiz to help kill the cc with splash damage

You can kill it that way, i just find it more efficient to drop the golem straight out, because the golem has a lot of health. It also keeps the cc troops from killing your precious wizards.
