    Multitarget air defense

    Hello

    SC has been redesigning defenses so that the way the shoot depicts better its structure. The most recent example of this is archer towers, they now shoot faster; each shooter at a time.

    I'm tired of Dragon wars (I know you sighed at this) and well, there are not many army comps a TH 7 can make to 3 star its enemies. But what I'm tired of is the lack of skill: touching the screen 4 times (1 for all 10 dragons and 3 for each "strategically" placed spell) and no matter the design it's boom - 3 stars.

    I was thinking, following the pattern I mentioned before, why not make the same for ADs? A tipical AD has more than one rocket in it so my idea is: shooting multiple rockets at once but with one condition: only if the attacking units are clumped together. The damage per second would be evenly distributed among the clumped troops and if troops weren't clumped the AD would attack as normal. It would be like a selective air inferno tower where heal spells still work.
    The number of multiple rockets would depend on the AD level - lvl 1 would shoot 1 rocket, lvl 2 2 rockets and so on with a maximum according to the number of rockets they show.

    I'm still thinking whether this should apply to minions, balloons and lava pups, they seem to inevitably clump but you know for sure that dropping a bunch of them won't assure you a 3 star, you can help me on that.

    At town hall 8 you have level 6 air defense. If they shot 6 rockets at the same time you might as well just take dragon, balloons, and minions out of the game. I believe level 6 do 320 damage per second. So you're asking for 1920 dps at just level 6.

    Sorry missed the part where you said distribute the dps. That would really just equate to firing one rocket though so its no change. It would take the air defense the same amount of time to finish them off. Right?

    Good you corrected yourself out :P at least more dragons would be damaged rather than just one... Yes same time

    I'm tired but I caught myself 😀.

    I just don't think it would make any difference if the dps was distributed.

    I feel you on the town hall 7 mass dragon though. At town hall 8 I often get opponents in wars that I have to carefully consider my attacks to have a chance for three stars. Then I watch one of my clan mates at th 7 drop all their dragons in one spot and some awful rage spell decisions and they still get 3 lol.

    Ikr, I'm a TH 10 so I don't even use dragons but my clan has THs from 5-10 and sometimes the critical part of the stars are obtained through the low level THs... Gets boring watching dragons in one spot.

    I think you're right maybe it could actually worsen the problem. What about hitting only 3 targets at a time but each one with full power. Say, 690 damage (a lvl 6 has 230 dps)? Or is it too much?

    I think hitting 3 targets with full power would be too OP and make dragon attacks obsolete. Dragons are fine at TH8. You might want to check the thread about rebalancing TH7 and add your ideas there.

    Totally disagree

    IT is true that drag deck on th7 is sure win. But for TH8, only drags has the greatest winning probability, only depends on the good placement of air def to counter them. As we go higher, drags becomes less effctive bcoz of hgher AD, tesla, xbow, archer towr on TH9. And now u want multiple targets... No way. Even lvl4 drags no use on th9+.

    Balancing solution: You can upgrde lvl2 drags on th8 onwards only. That way only lvl1 drag on th7

    Whats the point? Drags can only be argued to be OP for th7s, and to fix that you could simply add an extra AD level or an extra air mine for th7. There have been threads about this before also.

    But then again, giving it a second thought the idea isn't as ridiculous as I first thought, lavaloon is OP at higher ths and this could serve as a possible nerf to that by limiting the effectiveness of hounds as tanks. I still cant find myself agreeing with it though...
