I've watched myself get raided often, sometimes my heroes are defending and sometimes they are healing.
What if, when you watch yourself get raided you were able to activate your heroes abilities for a little extra boost. A bit more health and your bk could have stopped the pekkas type situation.
I started a thread a while back- suggesting Heroes should use ability before they run out of health automatically (with a re-arm fee). But then the thread died, and I realized it was a bad idea anyway
However, you idea is interesting: If you just-so happen to be on, you can use the ability.. Semi-interactive Defense, and letting you know the village owner is observing your raid.. Hmm...

ppl would get mad at failing if the defender happened to be on. Plus, in champions league, you could calculate the timing. Just walk away for 2 minutes and come back because they are sure to be under attack because the bases available in champs is so few.
Then it would make two starring bases even harder etc.
Hero abilities should ALWAYS be offensive based only.

One of the reasons why the special ability is offense only is because the defending hero has lots of powerful defense buildings, traps and walls to back him/her up.
Activate hero abilities, yes. Live control by defender, no.
Yes, heroes should use their abilities in defense. They just need a trigger point. Eg:
(1) Immediately on sighting enemy
(2) On first damage from attack
(3) When HP drops to a certain level. 80%, 50%, 25%?
I like the third one, due to the fact that when the abilities are activated they hero gains health. I think 80% is too soon. 50% is probably♥right.Originally Posted by George1971

Yeah, the AQ would be potent when invisible, but it doesn't last long. This ability in defense would be interesting to see.
