Cooldown for leaving a clan!!

Thanks for the feedback, most of the replies had strong reason that its not a good idea, and i agree with them. The whole reason why this came to mind, was not to force someone in a clan they dont want to be in. It was for people who dont even give the clan a try. I rarely open clan to accept new prople, i usually have 35-40 and tend not to go higher, but if its 34, and i open the clan, i get 10+ people join and leave in a few seconds, and in between they request for troops and leave. The whole point of this was to limit those people to jump around. But ofc as i see now it will have negitive feedback.

Hopefully you didn't consider it ALL negative feedback. I tried to include many of the ideas that make it possible to avoid 99% of the parasitic hoppers. Hopefully you are able to strengthen your clan even though the original idea won't work out. Good luck!

Just found this thread. I too am not a fan of clan hoppers when recruiting for members who will stay around longer.
Instead of having a cool down, as I believe some people enjoy hopping around and should be entitled to, I suggest simply tracking a new metric that would be included in the user's profile.

Its pretty harmless, doesn't effect those who want to hop. Its just a tidbit of information that people who are recruiting for members who don't hop can use to aid in their decisions.

It would be nice to be able to block a user from being able to request to join your clan. We have one player who requests all of the time. A lot of times, within 10 seconds of his request, he is already in another clan. One time we did allow him in only to tell him to stop requesting to be part of our clan, and then booted him. I know we can continue to decline him, but it's just a nuisance.
