    Fog of war(fow)

    All ground troops besides hogs are blocked from easy access to other parts of base by walls. All air attacks however have no resistance which give easy access to likes of.... everything. Balloon/Lava Hound armies have become similar to Hog only armies before 'nerfed'; Release, spells, and forget. Boring.

    Idea: Fog of War.... Either air type walls only, current walls that do partial damage to air only attacks, or fog of war. FOW(1-4 placements) based on TH level that can be placed over certain areas of your base that scatter/distract air armies.

    Thoughts?

    Not really something for the likes of CoC. And that is assuming you can get it to work. I can't get it to work out in my head without it just looking absurd or over complicated.

    It is a causal game, compared to real realtime strategy games. This is just too much clutter for little gain.

    Disagree. FOW... Cloud that can be put over certain areas not that difficult to create IMO. Pushes air attackers to different targets. Small range as to not affect entire battle field. If not that; walls that hurt air attacks(Wall10 flames that do damage to air) also not that difficult.

    Does it make gameplay more fun?

    If that was added now, with people so used to things being so open and clear, it would likely tick many people off

    That is a kind of key design feature that has to be made right from the start. This game has been around for several years, it is too late to add this to the game at this stage.

    This would best be used in some future game made by Supercell, which likely be less lighthearted and cartoonish than Clash of Clans, given how war realistic such a feature would be. It is a neat thing, but it just can't be shoehorned into CoC.

    If that was true why did they 'nerf' hog attacks? Because was ridiculous how silly it was to win with. Which is what's happened with Balloon/Lava Hound attacks. Two troop armies making up an entire army that if rushed TH9 and Ball/LH can rake over a max TH9 if done right.

    Wait, what does this have to do with nerfing troops?!

    You mean to tell me this fog of war ideas was soly to fix your problem with them?

    OK, I'm done with this topic. You were better off just ranting about them from the start. And rants like that go elsewhere, rather than in this forum.

    Hogs were 'nerfed' not even a year ago after they had been designed(not right from the start). Reason they nerfed? Too easy to win with. No strategy besides pulling cc/heroes and letting loose.     You don't even know how to use the quote feature!

    And you are comparing two drastically different things. Fog of war changes the entire feel and nature of the game. Adding a new troop is just another unit to the game. And nerfing/balancing the stats on the unit is a common practice.

    You are asking to change the fundamental gameplay of CoC because you want something balnced to the way you see fit. Get over it. It takes a lot more work than people realize to balance units. Even when they are balanced, there still will be complaints, most likely because they don't see the whole picture.

    I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you have no idea what the big picture looks like.

    Since what you have sounds like a common complaint, others have likely talked about it before you even installed CoC on your phone. So, look it up. Do some searches. Read up and research your issue, and come back later when you have a more mature and developed argument.

    It is rather obvious, and hard to miss. Mods have green Mod tags, staff have orange Supercell tags. You shouldn't even have to ask if someone giving you the unsugared true is a Mod or not. Not my fault you are not taking as much into consideration as you should. But then again who really does? I know I fail that standard at times, but I do try to keep up to it as best I can.
