Is having both heroes available in war VERY important?

Im in a hardcore war clan and im a part of the core list in war. That means i have to be in every war because i am needed. But I wanted to keep one hero upgrading at all times, either bk or aq. Right now my bk is 9 and aq is 2 and i am a very new th 9. So i was just wondering if its ok I only use one hero every war? Do i need both of them to do effectively in war ? Does having them both make that big of a difference in war? I want to do this because I plan on maxing the heroes and I want to get a headstart. Actually I wanted to keep both upgrading at all times. Right now as a new th 9 I am using GoWiPe only 2 starring other th9 because its the best i can do against other th 9. In the future I want to use LoGoWiPe to 3 star anti air bases and LavaLoon for air bases. Are having both heroes available very important in these strategies? (LoGoWiPe, Lava Loon and as a new th 9 for now, GoWiPe).

P.s Im sorry if my question is stupid because im very th 9 and im kinda inexperienced in the whole hero grind and how to manage them in war and all that jazz.

IMO, no they aren't that important.
Most people complain about it on here, but whatevs.

IMO you don't need either hero if you plan on using LavaLoon.

Any GoWiPe variant is pretty AQ dependant, however.

Gemming it is the only way, of course farm the resources and maximize the training duration by using your 2 attacks early when the heroes are active, then upgrading it right away then gem it again once you are ready attacking on the following war.

Altho you can still war w/0 the royals, its just if you add up all the possibilities, it surely helps in 3 starring a base.

I dont plan on gemming really, im not that rich to gem my bk and aq up to 40

You can spam laloon low TH 9s without either hero so they aren't important then. Against the top TH 9s with a decent base they are an absolute necessity.

They are important but it also depends on the strategy you will use , and sometimes just not bringing the heroes has costed me a star .

At those hero levels, they don't do much of a difference. At around 10+ or 15+ they would have some impact. My advice is to upgrade them both until they reach 10 or 15 and then you can alternate them.
