Hope this is the right form for this ?,? About the opt out in war, is it a glitch?

Hi there in the ipad 2 version why do you have the opt out command if you still have it where co leaders and leaders can still choose to take you in war shouldn't it be your choice if you want to stay out or not, can you make it where co leaders and leaders cant take you in war, cause when you choice to opt out they opt you right back in and i dont think thsts fair can you make it where they cant do that to you please

    That's the way it's designed.

Since war only happens in increments of 5 leaders sometimes need to adjust numbers up or down. In our clan we sometimes select players to war even if they are opted out but they are exempt from making their attacks. Generally we select the opted out player(s) with the lowest levels since they have the smallest impact on matchmaking.

If a leader is opting you back in against your will and expects you to participate maybe you should consider a different clan.

    What are your clan rules?

Does the clan have a rule about not opting out? If so you may need to find a new clan, or get the rules straightened and clear.

did they opt you in so 4 other players could also be in war? I do this, but we don't expect that person to attack. It's a planned war inactive. We do notify the player that his or her participation isn't required in those cases. We often wonder if this may be happening in our opponents clan where some are opted in just for war when they just up and leave during prep day even though they have a good base and strong offense.

Exactly what Webbie said. Sometimes this is necessary to get the right number. Think about it - If you have 34 people that want to war - is it better for the clan to opt 4 ppl out or opt one person in? Opt someone in is better for the clan.

And like webbie said - anyone opted in should never be expected to do their attacks. If/when I do this in my clan - we will also send a clan mail stating person ABC was opted in against their choice, does not have to attack, and no repercussions should/will come if they dont.
    I got nothing

It is part of it, however, either im gonna get kicked from my clan for not raiding in war, or they're gonna learn that I opt myself out for a reason.

But it's the leaders choice on who he takes to war. If you don't like what your leader does find another. It's pretty simple logic. For the previously stated reasons you were probably opted in. If you are questioning why here rather than within your clan I would think there is a communication issue that you are contributing too. Help your clan out. Discuss this there.

And for your information the leader go leader was given that ability when opt out was included in the update.

The requirment of needing a set number of members for war is why I tried to push for third option for opt in/out. That way someone can flag themselves as opted in, but don't mind sitting out for the greater good. Unless you get everyone on Facebook, or some other message system, you are going to be limited on the in-game communications. Some clans manage in thier own way, but in my case, Opt out is Opt out (not optional Opt out), and Opt in is Opt in (and are expected to deliver on that), unless I have reason to override that. Usually I bench opted in people because they didn't attack last war, and it is used to get thier attention for screwing up.

A Leader or Co-Leader pulling in Opted out people, and expecting them to actually attack, is delusional at best. They are asking for problems if they try to pull in someone that honestly opted out, and not expect to be attacking. It just hurts themselves credibility wise and hurts thier clan's win chance in war.

If they are too narrow minded to realize that pulling in truely opted out people for war is bad, and blame the people they forced into the war for them not attacking for messing things up, best just to leave if you can't talk sense into them. They aren't your kind of people anyway.
