I completely agree with this idea.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like technically, the attack is carried out when the projectile hits the building. The shooting and the projectiles are just animations for the player to see. The numbers indicate that until the animation shows the projectile hitting the building, the wizard has just been standing there before instantaneously attacking (since that looks wierd, the devs put in an animation).
Due to my limited programming knowledge, I don't know if changing this is easy or complicated. It is more logical that the projectile stay there to attack. But then again... logical...

Logically, I see your point. But CoC isn't a logic-based game, therefore a purely logical argument doesn't really apply. Honestly don't think it'll make much of a difference either way, so don't really mind whether or not SC implement it, but I do know I'll be putting a giant bomb and an air bomb with a builder hut in my corner![]()

I agree! Sometimes barbarians, hogs, and pekka slice or hit a building before they die, in the process their swords should still go down.
