Imagine for a moment, it's nighttime where you are in the real world only when you open up Clash of Clans it's night time in your base too. I think the idea of a dark land riddled with torch lights, and the lights from buildings, making your base visible in the nighttime landscape would be very beautiful. Having clash of clans be time sensitive to your area would add a whole other level of personalization to the game.
