    Getting attacked 10 times in a row with no shield!!!

    Alright, there needs to be some kind of way that SC can implement which would prevent attackers from taking 10's of thousands, or 100's of thousands of resources without ever receiving a shield (speaking for everyone here. with these 10 attacks I actually lost 8000+ DARK elixir, 700,000 gold, 550,000 elixir).

    Yes, I understand that we have the option of putting our town hall out of the walls, but I have a better idea.

    Why not make it so that we have the option to automatically recharge our traps? Just as we have an opt-in, opt-out option for war, we could similarly have a button in which our town hall would automatically reset our traps (spending the necessary gold it needs to, so long as we have enough stored up for that).

    If SC has this current system for a reason, they could even have it so that the player "pre-pays" for every single trap they have to be reset, if they so choose. Or even have it so there's a pre-pay limit, and once the deposits deplete enough, the recharging halts.

    What do guys think?

    Congrats on the multiple defenses. If you don't mind losing a few trophies to save loot, throw your townhall outside

    The issue is that I want to get the defense achievement, and it would take an insane amount of time in order to do that if my town hall was outside.

    That's why i think it may be necessary to have some other way to prevent everyone from taking our resources rather than by forfeiting our trophies.

    This is kind of a 'want your cake and eat it too' situation. I disagree with what you are saying and think you just need to decide which is more important.

    BTW - You made my afternoon with the 'los of 10s or even sometimes 100s of thousands'. If that is all the amount you are losing you actually are doing quite good and not losing too much. (and the 10 defenses were pretty good too, be proud of that.)

    Maybe a shield tweak? The Grace Period idea could help some in getting you reset for another attack.

    Also, what Town Hall and what League are you in? I'd like to know. Lossing 10k of anything is chump change to me, so I'm wondering what Town Hall level you are, since it isn't the case early on.

    Oh! and the traps? Got a thread on that too!

    That wasn't a direct reflection from what I lost, it was a general statement for anyone who has consistent defended attacks.

    Why would it be positive to either be forced to lose both trophy levels, and never gain an achievement, over having the option to automatically recharge traps and leave it to how well your defense really is? You don't learn anything from giving your attacker a free win, you just manipulate a system that favors attackers.

    I guess we have the same mindset. Currently I'm farming at a lower trophy level than my TH level would normally have it at. I'm TH8 farming at about 1200 trophies.

    Also, I don't view 8000+ dark elixir that was taking amount the near million of my other resources to be a small amount of chump change. Again, in the initial post I was speaking generally for everyone, not for my current losses

    Oh, well then, you're in an OK spot. Explains why so many attack and won defences. Silver I is like that for TH8s. Depending on your layout, and held loot, your rate of attack will change. If your base seems easy and tempting, it will be attacked often. If loot doesn't seem easy to grab, you'll rarely get attacked. I'm in Gold III, and hardly get attacked, especially when near empty of loot.

    I may dive down there after getting some loot and see how many take the bait. What does your base look like anyway? That'd be a significant factor right there on your rate of being attacked.

    It sounds like you need to upgrade your defenses in order to survive these attacks. I am a TH9 w all my defenses at max but my walls. I never have that problem. I am level 109 sitting in Gold League 1.

    I realize why we are getting attacked, and I have no issues with being attacked, its the fact that the current system that SC has is drastically favoring the attacker, and not the defender.

    Yes, but there is a massive difference between TH9 and TH8. Both my wife and I get attacked equally, and we both had decent defenses. It has nothing to do with our villages structural integrity, and that isn't the point either. The point is, even if anyone in the game were to get attacked multiple times and their defenses won, they would be left vulnerable. So why not implement this system?

    Oh jeez... have you seen my threads on the defence issues?! I've been the local crazy guy saying that fixing the gameplay issue with defence, to a point where people don't feel like they need to use an exposed Town Hall layout, will solve or improve many commonly complained problems with CoC.

    On heck... I can see why there would be trophy dropping loot raids, or attempts for 50% damage and farming.
