I love the idea, sc can always fix the finer problems
i don't see how ppl say no cos hoppers can abuse it, if ppl have hoppers joining and taking their troops it's their fault.
i say that cos we rarely have ppl joining our clan lol

No need to have a limit on troops, just make it so each member has to have a positive donation record in bank. You can donate as much as you like but you must maintain a positive donation ratio to receive.

I also like the elder only rule as it keeps unhealthy hoppers at bay. Definitely needs to be elder+ only.

    Thumbs Up

I like that idea, Had the Same before i came Here.
I m in a small Clan and know the problem. In my opinion it is enough to have like 60 units for like 2 golems. It will fix a lot of Troubles and is more realistic than 400.. Maybe make its size dependent from the clan size.

I just think you over complicated it a bit with too many features. A simple version of this would be great.

    Alter to mercenary camp.

With a mercenary camp. Players could hire clan castle troops at a premium cost of course.
The camp should need to be upgraded like any other structure.
Players without a clan could make great use of this.
Also players that find themselves with low active players in a clan.
Mercenaries as hired professionals should be of higher level than players troops.
    (Until player has maxed troops).
Mercenary camp needs to have a long cool down time so dependance on clan remains.
As all other troop related matters require elixir this should require gold.
Players should be able to hire mercenaries for donations if desired.
I don't think mercenary camps should be available until TH-4
To encourage players below to join clans.

I love the idea and was about to propose it!

    Hi.

It's been a while I'm thinking about a similar feature, I and my teamates would really love something like that (Clan lvl 7), it would be helpful for clan donations, but some things need to be improved first.

First, I think the Clan Bank should be made available for several use cases:
    • War offense
    • War defense
    • Offense (casual)
    • Defense (casual)

But some clan won't want to store goblins for casual offense, for example. And therefore, they should be optionnal.
I like the idea you got about having a bigger Bank as Clan level rises, it's indeed much better that way.

But there are some things I don't like:
    • Limit based on donation. Works well for same-level clan, but doesn't for clan having TH4 to 10 for instance.
    • Rank needed to get units. Some people switch clan quite often (due to sister clan or for some reason like giving units to other clans) and they would be disavantaged.

My solution would be more preference-based, because each clan is different and may have its own set of rules.
The clan chief should be allow to setup the following:

    • Accepted units in bank and what units are strictly reserved for wars offense and defense. The level should be taken in consideration. That way, a clan can setup really specific rules based on its own way of doing things. Examples:
      • I want that giants 6 may be retrieve either for war offense or casual offense, but giants 5 and lower only for casual offense, not during wars.
      • I want that Witch 2 may be retrieved for war offense or defense, but not during casual offense or defense.
      • I want Hound only available for war offense and war defense.
      • I don't want goblins to be stored, period. So I disable the unit and it cannot be given.

    • Who should be able to retrieve units? Once again, it should be chosen by the clan chief. There are a few possibilities.
      • Anyone in the clan without any filter.
      • Requires a rank. (As proposed with Elder+)
      • Requires a minimum donations to the Clan Bank. (X space)
      • Allow/Disallow to retrieve units for war purposes. (whether other conditions are met or not)

About selecting/retrieving Bank units for war purpose, I think we just need a new button.
    • For war offense, the button would be in the summary view before attacking and would show units that are available for war only. Once we selected them, they are reserved and cannot be required by another teammate for X time (X could be setup by chief as well, let's have a default of 3h). The units aren't in our castle. But as soon as we attack, they're moved into the castle and the attack begins. That way, we ensure that war offense units can only be used during war offense. (if the castle isn't empty, either we don't care and we used the defined Bank units or we ask for the castle to be empty before, I don't know, that's actually up to the Dev team)
    • For castle defense, it's the exact same process, but units are directly moved into your war def castle once you've selected them.

For casual offense/defense purpose, the choice would be right in the castle view and the units would be moved as fast as they've been selected.

Also, we may want to put limits of given units based on what the castle holds.
So, for each unit, it would be possible to define a limit of that unit. For instance:
    • 100 barbarians
    • 100 archers
    • 50 goblins
    • and so on...

The goal is to avoid having useless units that doesn't fit for the current need (like goblins during war) and not having to delete them because the Bank is full.

Another great feature linked to the above would be to know who gave what (a temporary history like 24h duration) and also have statistics about who gave how much (not temporary, would show for the current season and the total since being in the clan [possible to count those given units even if the player leaves and come back in the clan? That would be optionnal, but great for leaders.])

I'm also thinking about other features like sharing the Bank with sister clan/sub clan. But that's another story.

Make it for war participants only

Clan bank will be most useful for ppl in war...
i log in for doing my attacks, need max hogs but no one online... so i pick from bank.
    Cool !

But i may NOT need specific max troops (which only few members in clan have) for raids or defence... atleast not that desperately.

Only for war members also removes the need for "Elder only"

Else u can make it optional for Leader to set Bank as "Open for All" or "For war only"
