About us:
Paying homage to Futurama’s best character Bender who is a reflection of many of us.--sarcastic adults with a penchant for drinks, we’re a US-based war clan that likes to WIN. A mostly adult clan 18+ with max th10 troops accepting non-rushed TH8s, 9s, and 10s. English speaking only. If you think 2 stars on a base is ‘good enough’ please move on, but if you’re like us and think that all bases should be 3 starred then please join us! We have several great th10s so max troop donations for war are always easily available.

Be respectful beyond just the clan. Talking trash to each other happens all the time, but criticism is always constructive.

Trophies/Donations: We don’t care about trophies or donations. Just winning wars. We constantly war so each member is responsible for maintaining their war flag as on/off before the next war starts.

Do you qualify? Answering no to any of these questions probably means that you’re not ready.

• Can you 3 star (or easily 2 star for th10) a base level the same as your own?
• Can you design a good warbase?
• You know what it means if someone says goho, holo, laloon, gowiwi, dragloon?
• Do you have, or are training max war troops for your th level? (if in training please state what’s currently building)
• Do you understand troop pathing?

Promotions:
Elder+ is only earned through donations, advise, strategy, recruiting, and pretty much anything that helps the clan win wars. Most current members could care less about any sort of rank, just smashing other clans!

We take weekday wars seriously but use the weekends to kick back in our drunken stupors to experiment with new attacks and also to open the clan up to new people and let them give some tryout attacks. New to Smashlings? Here’s a few things to remember

• If you’re new to Smashlings, your first attack should be #1 on the bottom 3 ranked opponents that are the same level as you or #2 the highest ranking TH below your TH level.
• Plan on attacking early in the war. We’re evaluating your attacks so get them in and SMASH!
• 3-star attacks win wars. 2 is a fail.
• Set a custom request for your warbase cc which you feel will work best on your base.
• Beating a bad clan is rewarding but winning against good clans is what matters. That’s why we keep training!
• Trap placement is 50%+ of your defense. Plan wisely (see warbase design guides in the FAQ below)

The Bender FAQ:
We have many members who have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours learning the ins and outs of CoC and how to kick butt. Here’s the common questions that we get which also doubles as a great list of what to learn if you want to be better than 90% of your clanmates:

1) How’s my base? How should I design my base?
The biggest mistake people make is thinking that the goal of a base is to protect the TH. WRONG! The goal of a base is to make sure you do not get 3-starred. All good war clans can easily get 2 stars on ANY base so build so focus on building a base that will require multiple tries before you get 3 starred.

There are several people that have very well written articles that can teach you HOW to design a great base. Being able to build it is up to you so get it done and have it approved by an elder. Sometimes copying an opponents tricky base can be easiest. Building a good base is just the opposite of planning a 3 star attack.

2) Who should I attack?
The highest level base that you can 3 star. Numbers/rank doesn’t matter. 3 starring bases is what wins wars.

3) What’s the best attack?
This depends on the base that you’re attacking. The current trend on TH8 attacks is dragloon or Hogriders. TH9 opens up a wide array of attacks with the introduction of lava hounds, max baloons, and witches.

4) What should I upgrade next?
War matchups seem to be based on of defensive tower upgrades with a much lower weighting on hero and wall upgrades. The higher your towers, the higher your opponents towers. Some towers have a heavier weight than others (xbows/infernos seem to be very heavily weighted and should be upgraded last).

Knowing this the upgrade path for any th level should be: attacking upgrades (lab, camps, cc) -> heros -> walls/traps -> defensive towers.

WEEKEND WARS

WELCOME!!!

Weekends are when we get liquored up, so rather than try to be serious, we open the clan up, get anybody off the streets of CoC that is eligible for war and bring them along. No coaching, no base adjustments, just a total random scattered mess. Now if you're reading this and on our side, HOPEFULLY you want to also kick butt, and will read the tips above and also the following 'guidelines' (it's a weekend, I wouldn't dare say rule):

1. Let the old school benders fill the war ccs. Max troops only
2. Be specific for troop requests for when you're attacking in war. i.e., "Max hogs for war"
3. Always go for 3 stars (or 2 on a th10). Doesn't matter if you have to attack a lower base, but just please get 3 stars!
4. If at all possible, attack early in war rather than late.
5. Ask for advice you want it. We have some near pros in the clan to help.

If you end up wanting to stay beyond a weekend war this is what we need to see when we evaluate other than the above:

1. A well designed war base (read the guides in post 1 above first. then ask for feedback in chat after you set your warbase ).
2. Good attack strategies. Good plans sometimes go sour, but if it was a solid plan, then we still want you!

Reason for wanting to join your clan, I want to help my clan progress. I have been studying war strategies. Pentaloons, holowiwi, gowiva, givawiwi. Id like to watch from a closer perspective than just YouTube videos. I want to be able to talk and discuss with the real people who use these strategies successfully.

I'd appreciate acceptance for a couple of seasons. You can check my stats, on my profile. I am highly active. I average 300-400 winning raids per season. GG and EE are over doubled.

Hey Rocky, you're welcome to spectate. We just had a war match with war starting in 20h. Go ahead and send a join request with a message along the lines of "hi born, rocky from forum". If you can make sure you turn your war flag off after you join to make it easier for us to do war matches.

We just completed a weekend war which was quite entertaining since we invited about 15 randoms to participate and still pulled out the win with our A squad hitting late.

We'd certainly welcome you on. It's tough really enjoying war when the rest of the clan isn't on the same page.

We're probably a 8.5-9 out of 10 on the "everyone loves to war hardcore" scale. It's clear you've watched enough videos and read enough threads to understand the steps to attack. Also your anti-3-star base design is a good indicator also.

There's a few of us that are a full on 10 on that scale because we love to win, but we also know that people can get war burnt so the weekend wars are good to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed and maybe pick up a loss.

As for this war, you can probably already tell we're messing around a little and practicing some random things up top which we do if a war seems locked up.

We were talking about you in chat immediately following the holo despite being on a th8. The 2nd attack was good and a cc golem goho from the south could get you the AQ and the 3. Lvl 3 hogs hurting you, but can get trained up for sure.

Yeah, I completely forgot about the queen, as being a new th9, I was mainly helping with cleanup until that point. I've decided I'm going to stick it out with my current clan for a bit, as I've grown rewlly close throughout the time I've been there. I will attempt to raise their seriousness in a war regard. If it doesn't work, you'll be the first clan I come to. I'm really curious what those weekend wars look like. Gj to everyone on their excellent attacks, especially at th9. I attempted an anti three star base, but although it can defend hogs, the laloon part needs work.

It's a good base and laloon is tough to stop, especially if jelly is on it. Come join us for a war. It's not like you have to leave everyone behind to do a war or two with us and see how we roll .
