    Agreed. Just before I say anything, I've never bought gems before.
    Now I am currently at level 70 and all my defence upgrades requires at least 1.5 million gold, not to mentioned that 3.2 million gold for all my cannons, and also X-bow.     Normally I'm th7/8, I always get good loots between 150-350k gold/elixir one or the other [and i raid th9's].
    As long your resources are over 1 million elixir/gold, the most they can ever steal is 198k of that. So Even if you're at like say 4m/6m, you still wont lose more since the most they can take is 198k plus anything in your collectors if you choose to afk etc.

    If you can raid one base for 200k, it pretty much solves it already. It is also possible to use only 200 archers OR 160 archers/40barbarians for 4x lv 6 army camps to steal a lot of gold/elixir... which is cheaper than using giants/healers/wizards which take long to train up and the dragon/pekka.

    Let's Sum It Up

    The reason some people disagree comes down to 2 issues.

    1) Afraid there will be no more resources to loot if everyone can spend it on walls before they logout.

    But. That will never happen. At higher levels any upgrades, including walls, easily cost millions. So in order to upgrade, players need to save millions. Even with only 1 million in storage, available loot already exceeded the max loot cap of 198k from storage. Which is the exact reason why it is still not difficult to find a good loot for gold now, while gold can so easily be used up.

    2) Afraid walls will be too easily upgraded and bases will be too strong to attack.

    No it won't. At the extreme most, players who are having, say 100% purple walls, will now have 70% purple walls and 30% black walls. That is not really a very big difference is it.

    Until someone actually give a real potential issue this idea will cause, I don't see a reason to not implement it. OP have my support for this one!

    Totally agree.. walls are spent by using gold just like every other defensive building. If anything the resource pool needs to be balanced by making spells and search cost elixir as was mentioned above.

    When you're sitting at 2800 you're going to have more gold than elixir....

    I'm experiencing the same thing, having way more elixirs than gold, but i don't agree with this idea.

    it's basically like those converting resources mechanics ruled out on sticky. it just doesn't feel right on the game balancing side.

    i think supercell must think of other mechanics on how to spam elixirs like we are spamming gold on walls. what i can think of is something like enchanting buildings with elixirs so that the building get extra status for a limited time, or maybe only last for an enemy attack on the enchanted building. the extra status can be anything like hitpoint increase, immune to first 10 enemy troop attacks/damage, or maybe immune to one lightning spell attack. i think this makes more sense.

    I totally agree with you OP, i have the exact same idea, im sure a lot of people think the same way. Hopefully supercell listen to this suggestion. Great idea.
