    Have TH Be More Important

    Right now the TH only gets you 1 star on an attack. I still like the concept of getting 1 star and a victory, but it is supposed to be the nerve center of the village. All it can do functionally is store a very small amount of gold and elixir, and rearm traps. There needs to be some other function that the TH serves. How about a collect all function that is associated with the TH? Open to other suggestions.

    Personally, I find this as a very bad idea, because of the fact there are currently little to no other options for good loot protection in the eyes of most players. Fact that in my League, ⅔ of the active villages uses some form of exposed Town Hall layout is a sign of a systematic issue with the game itself, and not player behavior.

    Suggesting ideas that push people out of that strategy will just give you a mob of angry players.

    Ever heard of sniping? The town hall is the nerve and still the nerve of the village. It already has a great importance but players tend to put it outside for a free 12 hour sheild.

    When you have lots of storage, there is no such thing as sleeping in peace. The chance a sniper will attack your TH is more than another person completely destroying it. It's actually better to lose 4-11 trophies rather than 13-58 trophies plus resource.

    This is in my opinion. The TH already is great importance for a free shield.

    Ok. Disregard the storage idea. What about functionally? All you can do with it is rearm traps.

    TH allows you to get all the goodies, buildings spells and troops that's the incentive.
    There is very little else incentive for it, the only thing I could think help make it more important is that it gives a slight boost for whatever buildings are adjacent and this slight increase increments slightly higher each time you upgrade the TH.

    I made an honest attempt to come up with an original solution to the "Make the TH mean something" request. Judging by the following responses I doubt anybody actually read the revised version. Probably because it is such a large post and they didn't want to take the time. Anyway, you can find it on one of Warren's old threads here.

    When trying to alter the TH outside being beneficial you need to ensure a couple things which seem self contradicting don't happen. 1) We already next too much so removing more villages from the queue simply can't happen, especially if they have a raidable amount of loot. 2) Nobody should fear loosing several hours of productive playtime in the first few minutes every time they log off. Both of these are complete game breakers and can not be compromised.
