Council before upgrading the town hall at 8?
Hello everyone, I must update something (defenses), before updating the Town Hall at 8? Or I can already upgrade it?
- Mortars level 4 x3
- Tower level 7 archer x4
- Cannon Level 7 x4
- Air Defence level 1 x2
- Wizard's Tower Level 3 x2
- Muri level 5-6 (I miss 80 to level 6)
max everything before going to TH8...unless you like losing a lot
You can upgrade your Town Hall whenever you have the gold. it is advisable to max your defences first though.
I just finished my TH 8 upgrade over the weekend, so I think I can speak to this. By the time I was done with my TH upgrade, I had pretty much upgraded everything to the max. For your reference, here was my defense by the time I finished my TH 8.Originally Posted by Ziino

The only things that weren't completely upgraded were the barracks, pumps/mines, and air defense.
I'm glad I had waited until all these were done because resources are more difficult to get at TH 8 compared to 7. You'll still find good loots, but I haven't found a range yet to make the normal 1.5M-2M gold per hour I was making when I was farming with TH 7. Ultimately, the choice is up to you, but I would upgrade a few more things a bit further before moving on. Good luck.
Thinking that I would have everything to the maximum, but the walls would fit just to level 6 or should I bring them to level 7?
Yea you might as well upgrade your walls to lvl 7 as well since you will have 50 more to do once you have TH8.
One last tip, in what order should I upgrade my defenses in general and the walls? (I have 5 builders)
If your going for trophies and winning against attacks do archer towers and cannons.
If you want to defend against farmers do mortars and wizard towers.
no matter what you upgrade it will help somehow help so doesn't make a huge difference however normally ppl save wizard towers and put em by the townhall same for mortars. think of it this way if you upgrade the cannons and archer towers first you can kill the more tanky units faster which is what you want when ppl attack your base. tanky units - giants, dragons, pekka. you will eventually need to upgrade air defense to defend better against dragons and also maybe balloons as well.
