And how do you keep the old clan alive, unless you hop around and reduce the ware frequency...

Hi there, it is really not to "overwhelm" anyone, everyone we meet or vice-versa still war at the same number of people, I wouldn't call it any advantages or disadvantage at all..to put it simple, this clan was created (as mentioned in the opening post) for 2 clans which have known each other (in real-life) even before clan wars was introduced.
Since there is a common goal for the mates to play together in war, hence there is a merger of it.
It happens when you have nothing to farm for and you are not fighting for trophies, in the end, it is only the wars that keep you going.

As for the main clan (which we call it, MKMA or Yun Yue) it is still running. There are long serving mates who does not want intense war or mate taking a short break. These are the people who can also easily 3 star any base So it is still fine, just that the numbers of people involve in war would be much lesser than before.
