An easy fix to DE zapping would be to allow revenges whether a base has a shield or not. No more hiding behind perma shields for people leaving THs exposed. Normal raids would still happen like normal, but knowing the person you attacked could potentially attack you whether you have a shield or not would be make a lot of people rethink their DE zapping then hiding behind a shield.

Please don't increase DE storage hit points again. Taking out a DE storage is already way too much work. I can't tell you the number of times I have lost 50+ troops just trying to take out a well defended DE storage. There have been countless raids where I have started to attack the DE storage and completely run out of troops before I could take down the DE storage because it is so well defended with AOE defenses. The last thing we need is for the DE storage tank to have any more health.Originally Posted by nas
I realize you are trying to do something about zapping (which isn't really a problem in my mind anyway) but your solution only makes the game more difficult for everyone seeking to attack a DE storage.
It wouldn't fix anything because most people admit to revenging whenever their opponent has decent loot no matter how the attack went off against them. I usually find myself sitting on max loot every day at some point. People are not going to avoid revenging me simply because I didn't zap them. I would be getting kicked off constantly (especially since I tend to do 500 attacks a season).
I would add to this list:
* Your town hall is not unprotected in the corner of your base
I keep both of my heroes asleep non-stop which involves collecting well over 200k DE each week. Needless to say, the vast majority of the time, I offering the max DE possible from my DE storage. Putting my town hall in would simply give countless people that are nexting past my base the temptation to drop some lightening spells on my DE storage. Sure there are times I am only going to be gone for a little while and would probably not be attacked if my town hall were in, but it is silly to risk it when I am offering that much DE.
I have no sympathy for people that get zapped while their town hall is protected. By denying their fellow players an easy league bonus (which creates loot at almost no cost to them) they give many more people the opportunity to zap them.

Sorry to burst your bubble... my signature states I am max building wise and just working on heroes and walls. Therefore, I do not think I am bad.
I am not ranting as I am farming for DE now. Extra gold and elixir goes into my walls. But I do feel like it has become a concern as this is even prevalent in Masters.

There you go. Thats your problem.
There is no reason what so ever to attack your base other than DE. Why would anyone waste an entire attack on you when its more efficient to zap you.
If you don't want zapped carry enough loot in accessible areas so you wont be nexted by everyone but zappers.
Then be prepared to never ever hold onto loot again. Because that means EVERY single base you attack can take their time and loot your base as soon as you start holding any decent amount of money.
Your idea would single handedly kill the game. Bravo...
