If you think what they put should get reported I wont argue that with you...but this part of the statement is silly imo.
You actually believe that banning someone for an offensive base or clan description is not going to discourage them from making another offensive base or clan description? I'm sure some people don't learn the lesson, but I would guess that the vast majority do. I bet there is a very high percentage of people that only get banned for an offensive base or clan description once because they never do it again. That is what I mean by causing their behavior to change. They may still be rude and ill-mannered in the rest of their life, but they are probably less so in the game after their ban.

Someone should report the internet to the authorities. There's all kinds of stuff on here.

Fair enough. I thought you meant in general. I agree a ban makes them less likely to make jokes and such in game.

I'm assuming you've never been part of any sport before? Some of the most polite people I know in their day to day lives talk trash in a competitive arena. Again, there's a very big difference between someone insulting your family at a formal dinner and someone cracking "yo momma" jokes on a football field

Seems to me that some of you are way too set on everything being the same everywhere. That's not the case in real life. As they say, there's a time and place for everything. People cover up outside and take their clothes off in the bedroom. Are they wrong for that? Offensive language in a normal social setting isn't the same as a little smack talk during competition where getting a psychological advantage over your opponent is part of tactics

Chances are all of our mothers have gone down on someone at one point or another. And good for them. I know I always return the favour. Cheers

Like I said in my previous post, my uncle who's a police officer shares numerous stories of him getting called for something so insignificant and it aggravates him because there are bigger, more important things to worry about
If people didn't break "insignificant" rules then people's time wouldn't be wasted dealing with them. Why have rules if it's ok to break them?

When the speed limit says 55mph, do you follow that? Have you ever gone 60mph in a 55mph zone?

What about a stop sign? Have you ever fully stopped for the lawful amount of time or do you just go ahead if you don't see any cars?

I guarantee you there are many, many rules and laws you break on a day to day basis and no one does anything about it because it's insignificant. Sometimes, rules aren't really meant to be followed, but more set as a guideline. Every single driver on the road goes over the speed limit even if it's by 1mph. They're technically breaking the law, but does it warrant attention from authorities? It's petty

Same with smack talk in a competitive arena. It's petty. It's insignificant. It's part of the competitive spirit to get your opponents' juices flowing

Ye, but they said they were going down. Not necessarily down on something/one. I'm just not sure why it would offend. Interested to see what SC do if it's reported. I guess I'm in the I don't see the big deal camp. It's not like they swore or said anything offensive IMO.
