How about a 1 supply dark troop called a "Balboa" or whatever. Since we have Mr. T themed hog rider and a Thunderlips/Hulk Hogan themed Barbarian, let's complete the Rocky 3 themed troops and get a Balboa. This would be a 1 supply dark troop as stated, perhaps similar to a skeleton.
Now, what makes this unit special would be how it functions. I envision it being able to wake back up after a waiting period (maybe 1 second, maybe 2, not sure...you guys decide) rather than just die. These troops would be able to continue the knocked-out/rise-again process until one of the following, which I will get into in the next paragraph. As a neat feature, I'd like to see these troops be able to scale walls. Maybe something like, if 2 or 3 Balboas are at the same wall, they can help each other climb the wall. Or maybe a certain number of Balboas will blow a wall like a wallbreaker. This would render them knocked out, which would kick in the waiting period for them to wake up. Or just have them jump like a hog rider. I don't see them as being as quick as a hog rider though.
I had 2 thoughts about how to know how many times a Balboa could rise up from "death".
They could have a finite number of resurrections per battle, maybe 3. Maybe this is how you level up the Balboa...higher level equals more resurrections.
They could be powered by some kind of "eye of the tiger" object (perhaps even a tiger or cat based creature), which in practice would either function mostly like a witch, but I see it being more of a flying troop like a healer that does zero attack damage. The "eye" would have hit points though, and then of course when killed, Balboas can no longer awaken from their knocked out state. Any Balboa within X number of tiles gets revived. This includes those within range of an Inferno tower (as, since they are not actually being targetted by the tower when knocked out, they can be "healed").
How this is different from a witch:
You are training the balboas, so you technically could train 260 of them at TH10.
All Balboas would be powered by 1 single "eye", unlike witches where, if you want 16 skeletons, that means 2 lvl2 witches.
You could put a range on the "eye" where it only wakes up Balboas within a certain radius, much like how a healer can only heal troops a handful of tiles away. Not sure what a fair range would be. Maybe have the "eye" have a range of heal just bigger than an inferno tower's range so that, by itself, the inferno tower could not destroy the "eye" and thus would be fairly susceptible to them.
I'd like to point out that a knocked out Balboa would not continue to get shot at by defenses or cc troops, at least until it gets resurrected. This could a real advantage compared to a witch that may already have moved past and thus, when her skeletons get regenerated, they go somewhere else. Get a few Balboas near an inferno tower, and it might give you enough time to get it down with your other troops, especially if the Inferno is in single targeting mode. Even if not, assuming the "eye" is still alive or they have resurrections left
It would possibly be a nice alternative to having to bring a freeze spell, so at TH9, you might have a way to deal with inferno towers.
OK, I'm done.

More detail...
- What makes this unit/spell unique compared to the other units/spells in the game? - What kind of strategies this new unit/spell would enable? (concrete examples are best) - What kind of army composition includes this unit/spell or, how it could combine with other units/spells for more advanced strategies? - How someone could redo their base to protect against attacks from this unit/spell? - Appearance? - When is it unlocked?
Not sure if I like the idea but if you add more detail I may cast a second glance...
