So right now the only way to win xp towards clan perks is to win a battle.
What about the reverse? If your village defends itself successfully, shouldn't that be just as valuable?
My thought is that in every battle in a war, there are a certain number of xp assigned to it. Either the attacker or the defender can win all or some of them depending on the outcome of the battle.
For example, lets say Joe from Clan Bob attacks Sue from Clan Jill.
If Joe attacks:
- Joe wins 0 stars: 0 xp. All go to Sue, the defender.
- Joe wins 1 star: 1/3 of the xp to Joe, 2/3 to Sue, the defender.
- Joe wins 2 stars: 2/3 of the xp to Joe, 1/3 to Sue
- Joe wins 3 stars: all the xp go to him.
