    Angry No Time Limit On Clan War Battles?

    The other day my clan was doing a clan war as per usual, and both me and another co-leader managed to completely demolish the enemy bases apart from 1 building: a builders hut! The defenses had been gone ages ago, but because of the time limit, two attacks that were clearly successful only got 2 stars even think go half their armies were still alive. If this has ever happened to you, you will know just how anoying it is - especially when it costs you the war!

    I just don't see why there are time limits, all they do is punish you for not being quick enough, when wars are meant to be about who is strong enough! If you agree or perhaps know an advantage to the time limit then please comment!

    I've wondered about this myself, but at the end of the day the timer is something you have to plan for. Spending 2 mins at the start carefully luring out the cc has it's bite at the other end of the raid. Removing the timer is a massive buff for hog raiders, loon raids, and drags.

    I agree there should be some difference between the rewards for 99% wins and 50% wins, but don't see that happening any time soon.

    How come you decided that is only about strength?

    It's about being smart and if you outsmart the defense you win...

    That happend to me about 5-10 times, than i started to spare 3-4 barbarians for that matter.

    Problem solved. So you have to think a bit more than 3 Lighthing air defense and spawn 11 drags

    You answered your own question.

    Good base designs are all about using time as your weapon as much as the defenses. (I saw above the mention of putting builders huts in the corners, and there are other tricks too)

    • A high TH9 getting hit by a full max army from a TH10 has to design his base with time delays to try and get the clock to run out before a three star. He can't stop such an army cold so this is the only hope.
    • Also at high level 7 and low level 8 when fending off drag attacks its important to be able to use time as a weapon because there is no way your def can totally stop them, only slow them and make them take longer than 3 minutes.


    I think a lot of the guys saying the need more time are guys that are being thwarted by the above attacks or one of the other situations (I only gave 2) where time needs to be used as a weapon. But rather than get better and more efficient with their attacking they want the game to do it for them. Next thing you know they will be asking for defenses to be weaker and after that a big green win button be in the middle of the screen.

    Instead be happy all the times your base avoided that third star when the clock ran out at 95-99%, To me I love it and it happens a lot because my base is designed that way.

    time limit = to think for your strategy before attacking, thats why there is a word called "scout"

    to begin its your fault not scouting your enemy base before attacking, where you can see the hut building and strategies on how to kill that early

    Thanks for the feedback guys, perhaps I will start tailoring my base around time limits, it seems a pretty good idea and nice way to annoy attackers although I still reckon the difference in rewards between 50% and 99% are a bit large but in the end it's not very hard to spare some space for a few extra barbarians/archers, it can just get annoying sometimes when you loose so much loot coz of 1 star! Anyway, thanks for commenting and I now see that this would be a dificult problem to fix, if indeed it is a problem...
