    War Base Notes

So, I took part in my first Boom Beach mission the other day, and I noticed something I liked about it. On each base, there is a note function that allows members(or just leaders, can't remember) leave text for other members to read.

Why not port this over to opponent war bases for Clash of Clans? It would give a place for members to leave notes on each base on the map on attack strategies. What does everyone think?

Been talked about months ago, known partly as the 'dibs' system. Good number of people support it, but the details are still under debate.

If your looking for a system that you can leave notes for members to read in war and claiming bases to attack, theres a website called clashcaller.com, not sure if its 100% mobile friend but it seems to work on mobile. Here's a short synopsis of what it is from the website..

I like your idea though, small additions like little sticky notes you can put on war bases should be added as for it increases communication and unity within a clan during war! Having this integrated already into clash would make it convenient rather than having to use a third-party website to communicate and organize wars. Hopefully, Supercell will take this into consideration if it gets noticed and requested a lot.

I do too, and as a software developer myself, this shouldn't be too much trouble to code into the game. It would have been a nice addition with the last update, seeing as it was mostly clan improvements.

And yea I actually learned about clash caller earlier today. It's nice, but the problem is actually getting people to use it. To me, some people just don't like using outside resources for a game like messaging apps and clashcaller.

There are a whole bunch of threads on this topic, often times recreating the wheel in the process of bringing it up again. I'd say look for a good thread that has had much of the issues talked over, and bump that up. Better to 'necro-bump' a really useful, developed, thread than to remake a new one. Unless of course the new one has the summary of what the old one had.

Decided to add a poll. Hopefully, we can have either this thread or another thread with the same idea get popularity.

This should definitely be added in, or a note similar to the clan description but for wars.

I thought I'd contribute to this thread because I've been thinking this would be agreat idea for a while now, ever since I noticed Boom Beach had a similar feature. Clashcaller or third party services are great but not everyone in the clan would always use them. A simple in game base note system would really help:
    - war organization
    - strategy suggestions or help
    - base calling / assigning
    - all the above without clogging up chat

Honestly I don't see any good reasons not to add this feature

There is a difference in Boom Beach and Clash of Clan here. In Boom Beach there is a cooperative effect (You can make one player clear the path for one player or take defenses out and so on). Each base requires a great plan of more than one player.

In Clash of Clans , only one player can operate on the base. Ofcourse ,he/she only has to attack it , there is no cooperation or clearing stuff like boom beach.

This might seem useful and easy to code , but is actually not needed. Members of strong clans will know exactly how to beat a base and not require someones instructions and tips. Our clan manages it seamlessly , its almost everytime the same war compo , unlike Boom Beach where your role in affecting that base determines your troops and missiles stuff.

You make it sound like no cooperation is needed, but really it's everyone's involvement as a whole that wins wars. And sure, strong members will know how to defeat a base but not every clan is full of strong members. What about people who are new and still getting used to the game. We regularly have some TH7 or 8s in our wars, and not everyone is immersed in the game much as the veterans who have been playing for years.

Communication goes a long way, and I believe this feature would help streamline it effectively. War instruction can get lost in a busy chat. I still stand my ground that this is a needed feature
