I know what you are going through but gold was always meant to be more precious (behind DE). Gold is meant to be hard earned because you can find less gold than elixir in raiding. Elixir, by the way, is used for upgrading offence while gold is for defense. Don't worry, the game is still balanced.

Where did you get the info that gold was always meant to be harder than elixir, could you link the source?

my gold grab is at just over 1 billion yet my elixir escapade is at 800 million and its the same for 90% of farmers with a few exceptions of course. IMO the only players who devalue elixir are the ones that are inept at farming and cant get the skulls done before the lab.

Tell me; how would you keep thisdark lab busy upgrading DARK troops (that cost DARK Elixer) if you already have harldy any dark Elixer? So by adding this whole lab idea for the purpose of Elixer upgrades (you didn't even state the price.) it'll be a useless pointless space on the map that will be used never.

There is nothing new to add that will fix your Elixer "problem" and nothing other to do them increase prices.

What I meant with scarce is that most players only have a small DE to loot and some are hard to steal since it's mostly at the center of the base.

When I'm farming, I only target gold (150k+) or DE (500+) and I always have enough resources to start a new upgrade. Most of the time, I even skip players with 300k+ elixir loot if the gold or DE loot is too small. But still, I end up with millions of useless elixir.

Left over? Does it matter if you have zero DE if you don't need it? Again, I've told you before that there's no problem with DE so stop talking about that.

I suggested the Dark lab so you'll have another building to upgrade using elixir(not DE) plus you'll free up your Lab to upgrade an elixir troop instead of a DE troop.... Although I still think this wouldn't be enough to consume the excess elixir

DE is very easy to obtain at gold2-crystal3 for a th8.

I have been with close to 6 mil elixir for about 10 days now suffering from not having anything important to spend elixir on at th8. Pekka are used in war so no need for more than 1 barrack for them really; those can wait. After dark e storage, lab, and gold storages are maxed for th8, there isn't anything really to spend elixir on besides troop upgrades and when they take 5-10 days per troop you end up with a LOT of elixir and barely any gold for all the existing defenses and walls. I agree with the imbalance issue.

Note: I maxed th7 before going for th8 with the only exception being lvl 1 minions and two lvl 9 elixir collectors; none of which use elixir to upgrade.

How to get Rid useless elixir :-

1. Train troops to dominate Single Player Challenge.
2. Train troops for Friend in Need Achievement.
3. Train troops to achieve other Achievements. ( there were so many achievements that needs troops to achieve it )
4. Go get your gems using THAT useless elixir.
