Give us other things to spend our elixir at TH8!

I'm an almost maxed (walls included) th8 and I will be th9 in a few weeks. For the last 2 months I've had 6m elixir in my sotrages and full elixir collectors all the time. I've seen defenses where I have 600k elixir on offer for the attacker. There is a pretty big discrepancy between the amount of gold and elixir you need, although it is nice not to have to worry about running out of elixir.

I wasn't able to experience upgrading walls using elixir but I think this update caused an imbalance in the usage of resources at TH8...

You spend gold on towers/defenses which has two/three level upgrades, CC, TH, lots of traps, and expensive walls which leaves my gold storage always empty unless I don't have an idle worker.

DE is scarce/hard to loot and most of the time, my DE storage gets emptied when I upgrade my troops or BK.

What about elixir? You spend it on DE storage, barracks, dark barracks, lab, troop upgrades and building troops.

Now, compare the expenses for gold and elix... you'll see a big imbalance...
When you build farming troops, you spend less than 50k then get more than 100k loot. Some say spend elix on advance troops, but it takes too long to build one so you'll get raided before you could even build your army.
With barracks upgrades, you only need to upgrade one to unlock troops and the others are optional.
Troop upgrades on the lab takes too long, and also if you're upgrading dark troops, you don't use elix which also stalls your usage of elix for days...



So here's my suggestion:
-add a dark lab at th7 for upgrading dark troops
-add a second lab at th8

Or maybe just bring back elix upgrade on walls..

Ironically you said how it was hard to get dark Elixer... But you suggest a dark lab?

A second lab lab would be pointless as you would lose the incintive to gem.

A better way to reduce Elixer is increase prices.

Have too much elixir? Use it for dark elixir farming, you said it was scarce yet i dark elixir farmed for weeks and nearly maxed out everything I could use my de on before going to th9, I have 3 upgrades left, minnions lvl 4, valkyries and golems lvl 2, which totals about 160k dark elixir, which isn't much compared to how much I already spent. When you have lots of elixir just standing there, use it for dark elixir farming and get up your dark troops

If you start having a huge surplus then get more fast and loose with your raids. Start taking big armies and going after as much gold and de as you can. its a blast just for openers, but also you get your gold and DE faster.

Increasing the prices would not only affect TH8 but all TH level/or probably the next TH levels. I don't think that's a solution to this problem.

You can increase prices at townhall 8 for the barracks and other Elixer upgrades. Only affects townhall 8's and up (they'll fogure that out.)
And the shortage of dark Elixer would work into the dark lab how? I'm not going to upgrade a lab when I have a perfectly good lab with Elixer that is already level 7 and then go build a totally new one that does the EXACT same as my other lab and is used for just dark troops when I already have a shortage of dark Elixer 90% the time. THSI lab would be used and a waste.

What I meant with scarce is that most players only have a small DE to loot and some are hard to steal since it's mostly at the center of the base.

When I'm farming, I only target gold (150k+) or DE (500+) and I always have enough resources to start a new upgrade. Most of the time, I even skip players with 300k+ elixir loot if the gold or DE loot is too small. But still, I end up with millions of useless elixir.

I found myself in the same boat, so I used it to my advantage. I placed my Elixer storages in the far right corner surrounded by flowers and a white flag (to show no trap) and I would get a couple of hundred trophies for free each day. This got me to Crystal League for the 1st time (for the gems) and is the absolute easiest and best trophy push strategy ever.

I suggested the Dark lab so you'll have another building to upgrade using elixir(not DE) plus you'll free up your Lab to upgrade an elixir troop instead of a DE troop.... Although I still think this wouldn't be enough to consume the excess elixir

Tell me; how would you keep thisdark lab busy upgrading DARK troops (that cost DARK Elixer) if you already have harldy any dark Elixer? So by adding this whole lab idea for the purpose of Elixer upgrades (you didn't even state the price.) it'll be a useless pointless space on the map that will be used never.

There is nothing new to add that will fix your Elixer "problem" and nothing other to do them increase prices.
