Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest troop concept, the Volcano Mage. Throughout this thread, I'll go into tons of detail to make sure you know how this troop works and how this will affect the game. You'll also get to see offensive and defensive strategies including this unit, and some example stats. *Subject to change at any time*.
Beware, this thread is long! For those of you that have to time to read this thread, I thank you. All in all this idea took me a couple of weeks on finalizing this thread and making sure it was ready for presentation. Before I begin, I'd like to thank Charbeldegr8 for the artwork of Dark Barracks level 7, and Clannis for the picture of the troop! (If you'd like to suggest your own troop, check out the

So, now that that's all done with, let's get to the Volcano Mage!
Description
Having mastered the art of ancient lava magic, the Volcano Mage increases damage done to buildings, but this skillful trait is limited to ground units only.
Summary
✔ The Volcano Mage shoots streams of lava that can hit up to 6 buildings at once
✔ Although he does little damage on his own, the Volcano Mage increases the damage taken by all of the buildings he hits, but his lava only affects ground units
✔ Use multiple Volcano Mages in one location to greatly increase the damage boost, or spread them out to support the whole army
✔ Unlocked at Dark Barracks level 7, Town Hall level 10
What kind of strategies this unit would enable
✔ Drop the Volcano Mage behind a couple of Wizards or Valkyries near a Barbarian King at the start of the attack to quickly get rid of him, as well as any other nearby buildings.
✔ Volcano Mages have high enough health to withstand a few attacks from splash defenses, but point defenses can destroy him very quickly. Therefore, place him behind more durable troops such as Giants or P.E.K.K.As (or support him with the Healer).
✔ A good strategy is to use some Giants as a meatshield, then deploy several Wizards supported by Volcano Mages to quickly get rid of outside buildings.
✔ Volcano Mages work very well with Valkyries, since both can target multiple units.
✔ Using a few Volcano Mages can eliminate the need to bring along an extra Rage Spell, freeing up another space for a spell and making a more variety of attack strategies.
Army compositions including this unit
✔ GiVoViz (Giants + Volcano Mages + Valkyries + Wizards) The Giants will break defenses while the Volcano Mages help the Valkyries and Wizards break into the core of the base while the Giants provide a distraction and a meatshield.
✔ GoVoWiPe (Golems + Volcano Mages + Wizards + P.E.K.K.As) The Golems will act as a meatshield for the Wizards and Volcano Mages; While the Volcano Mages help the Golems rid of defenses quicker, and help make a path to the center of the base for the P.E.K.K.As.
✔ GoVoWiWi (Golems + Volcano Mages + Wizards + Witches) With the Golems acting as your meatshield, send in the Wizards and Witches behind, finally followed by the Volcano Mage. If executed correctly, the Volcano Mage can help both the Wizards and Witch's skeletons do more damage together.
✔ HoWiVo (Hog Riders + Wizards + Volcano Mages) Hog Riders will quickly get rid of defenses with the help of the Volcano Mages early on; While some more Volcano Mages help the Wizards act as a clean up troop.
How to redo your base to protect from this unit
✔ Place holes in your base where Giant Bombs could be, to make the attacker choose more wisely on where to place his Volcano Mage. Giant Bombs are the single most dangerous defense against them.
✔ The Volcano Mage's lava boost affects ground units; therefore at least 1 grounded X-Bow in your village will help fend off the units being helped by the Volcano Mage quicker, as well as taking down the Volcano Mage itself.

Trivia and Frequently Asked Questions
✔ The name "Mage" is synonymous to "Wizard".
✔ The Volcano Mage has the second-longest range in the game, beaten only by the Archer Queen and tied with the Witch.
✔ The damage boost does stack between multiple Mages, meaning that three max-level Volcano Mages would do 75 damage per second and boost damage by 270%.
✔ A maximum of 17 Volcano Mages can fit in a set of fully upgraded Army Camps. This number increases to 19 if you count the two that can fit into a level 5 or 6 Clan Castle.
✔ The Volcano Mage's attack style looks like a cross between the Witch's projectiles and the fire that the Wizard shoots at level 6.
