You should make it if you are in a clan that your clan mate's can attack your base as a practice attack and a practice defense for yourself so you can see how the defense will hold. That the troops the use don't get wasted and disappear and that you don't lose resources from their practice attack.

This has been suggested many times, and many times it has been turned down. Players could design their bases similarly to opponents and figure out a way to 3 star them. Please read stickies before posting, you will surely find all the ruled out ideas (this is one of them) that won't be taken in consideration if suggested.
