Nothing about this game is very much fun anymore.
I sell in my shop for coins I'll never spend. I have huge caches of vouchers gathering dust. I have rearranged my farm far too many times.
I help friends and even strangers with boats, but it becomes boring and to what end? I don't need more coins or xp points. Leveling up for one or two plots of farm land an a diamond isn't fun.
What's a 50+ level player to do to have fun with Hay Day again? Add more level-up rewards! Some thoughts:
1. Additional types of harvest plants like orange, lemon, and olive trees and related products like orange juice, lemon pie, olive pizza, etc. Additional rotation crops like beans and cucumbers.
2. A salad stand with mixed salads for sale.
3. The ability to grow flowers as crops (sunflowers, lilies, roses, etc.) and a flower stand where you can make and sell arrangments.
4. Fishing boats. It seems none of the animals ever die, which is a nice touch, so maybe you could "fish" for caviar which could be gathered in a way similar to how the pigs "sweat" off bacon.
5. I like the idea of a second mine for different materials like copper and coal.
Some other ideas:
1. Once you reach a certain level, you can place orders over the wire offering a certain amount of money, just like the orders that come in to your farm. They would randomly be assigned to a player at the appropriate level and that player could choose to fill it or not, earning the money (and perhaps XP points) just like they do now. You'd get the truck delivery!
2. More opportunities for interaction with other players - let me trade with other players without having to use an external service like the forum or gamecenter.
3. The newspaper is beyond annoying. I don't know if you make players open & close the paper over and over between visiting other stands in order to throttle their shopping, but there has to be a better way. It's painful on the eyes and super annoying. Especially when after a minute or so of a new paper issue, all the good stuff is sold from most shops, including what's advertised!
4. Let higher-level players "upgrade" production buildings the way they upgrade their barns and silos. So for $x coins and x diamonds (or vouchers) you can increase your dairy speed by 50%. And so on.
5. Allow higher-level players the option of challenging events, like a fox gets into the hens or a hail storm ruins a batch of crops... something with some sort of challenge so you can divert the catastrophe if you do something different.
I don't even know if any of the developers read this, but if so, please know I love Hay Day but without anything new or challenging, I'm about to call it quits.
