My two sons (10 and 14) got me into CoC a few months ago. Several weeks ago, I created a clan, (name: Light Knights), for my boys and all their friends. I'm the leader, (name: Gobstopper), and my sons are co-leaders. They invited their friends and we made them Elders so they could accept more friends. The clan eventually reached almost 20 members at one time, including friends, friends of friends, and a few random folks.
But several of the friends, and the random folks, kept asking for co-leader rank. I kept co-leadership limited to my sons because they live with me and we can talk about things in person before anyone takes any action. From changing the clan information, to starting a war, to accepting/rejecting or kicking someone. I thought it would keep drama and headaches to a minimum. But so many of the friends wanted co-leader so often.
Eventually, several of the higher level friends, (TH 8-10), left to start their own clan where they could be leaders and co-leaders. Our clan is left with mostly lower level players, (I and one other am TH 8). That, combined with the fact that most of our members are kids -- good kids, but still kids -- means that we haven't been doing so well in wars.
We've tried inviting random players, but it too often results in some jerk coming in, swearing a lot, or insulting the lower level players, and then leaving or being kicked. Really disappointing and aggravating.
Just this morning, my 10 year old was sad about how some of his friends abandoned our clan to start their own, and how now we keep losing our wars. I realize it was just because we wouldn't make them co-leaders, (the kids apparently just want a feeling of power, *shrug*), but I fear this whole drama is proof that giving co-leadership around to multiple 10 year olds would just cause more problems.
So, I'm coming here to offer/ask if anyone would like to join our clan of kids. If you are low level, that's fine, we'd still appreciate having you join us. If you are higher level, that's good, we'd love to win some wars. So, if you are a kid, or can behave properly online with kids, join us. You can be equals with others working their way up the TH levels, or you can be a hero winning wars for us. Either way, we are casual gamers just wanting to have fun. We don't care if you are farming for loot or pushing for trophies. Just come in and be our CoC online friends.
