Thread: air bombs? what use are they?

    It really was better to make healers invisible to air bombs. They are vulnerable enough to AD and arch/wiz towers that take them down. And Because AD range is so much greater than healer range they are even vulnerable to the things that get attacked by the troops they are healing. (So they get drawn into range) I think healers are useless enough already to me that even with bombs not hitting them I still am not using them. If anything they probably need even more buff.

    As far as no one using balloons I cant speak to where you been that no one uses balloons there. Understood you get attacked many times, you said it twice so I get the point. But believe it or not that's not unique. It happens to others too so you are not alone. I get lavaloon and loonion attacks every day. My air mines are key to thinning down the ranks of both the loons and the minions. (especially the minions where they are the only thing that can take out a lot at once). I would not be able to defend my base from that type attack without them. And they also are great for stripping some hp off dragons so that other weapons can get them with fewer shots. So they are in fact very useful today as they currently work.

    At TH6, I can see why you don't understand what's going on. Level 3 balloons are pretty useless at TH6, since you can't really use enough of them to take out a strong TH6 base, unless they left their Air Defense exposed. And you don't have minions yet. And you don't have enough slots in your spell factory to take out an Air Defense with lightning spells.

    It'll start to make more sense when you get to TH7 and especially to TH8. A TH7 has two Air Defenses, 2 Air Bombs, and 1 Seeking Air Mine. Healers wouldn't last very long against that. Indeed, they didn't, before they made healers invisible to air traps.

    TH8 is even worse. Three AD's, 4 air bombs, 2 seeking air mines. It's almost impossible to get healers to survive all the way to the core of a base. Healers were basically useless against a TH8, unless you were willing to use them only on the outer edges of a bases. Or if you used a lot of them.

    So yeah, at TH6, I understand that healers might be frustrating. But when you get to TH7 and TH8, you will understand why they needed to be made invisible to air traps.

    And just wait for TH9: a total of 4 seeking air mines, each a one-shot kill against a healer.

    Just upgrade your AD, air bombs destroy everything but healers, healers needed a buff anyway

    I put all my red air mines next to each other so that they take out a group of balloons when they fly over them.

    When I was TH5, I made a base layout that had a corner that was exposed to air attacks. I put archer towers in 3 corners, the AD on one side tucked between two of AT's, wizard tower on the next side between two AT's. The last corner just had cannons, and my mortar was on the side opposite the AD, exposed to air attacks.

    So three or four times in normal raids, and once during a war, the enemy came with balloons at the weak corner. Two air bombs, all the balloons dead. They were probably trying to take out the mortar (which wasn't in range of the AD), because only about half their army was balloons, the other half was regular troops. With the mortar still alive, the raids all failed.

    Yes, a smart raider would have sent in one balloon to sniff out traps. But at TH5, not everyone thinks that far ahead.

    Air Bombs can damage a large group of Balloons, or wipe out lots of Minions at once. My air Bombs are level 3, and 4 of them all together can damage a large group of dragons as well.

    I guess what I am saying is that at this point its out of wack. Healers are mostly untouchable because I only have 1 air defense. The bombs I have only work against either something nobody uses or things I am yet to even see.

    To those that talk about healers not making it to the end, nothing should last to the end. Should be made the bomb guys dont last. Look I am not worked up, not being rude or even upset. Its a silly game. This whole arguement stems from the way they even rank people in the first place. If I dont have a king, then why should someone with one be able to attack me. Why am I fighting people with level 4 or 5 giants and healers who run threw my entire place without losing a single person. Why is the clan troops not added to the trophy numbers. When it comes to games on my tablet like this I play until its not fun. Games like candy crush become no fun when you get stuck on the same spot for ever. To me this gameis fun when it fair. When things are not balanced it is less fun. Just my opinion.
