Lots of good suggestions here! myso is right, now is the time to upgrade your salon and add a seat or two. You can have a duck in the salon while it is upgrading and the feather will be ready when it's done.
Stock up on lobster and lobster traps if you don't want to run the duck salon right now.
If you are in a neighborhood, your higher level neighbors will be delighted to take the feathers off your hands.
I think a lot of us were dubious at the beginning, but we've worked it out. Just like a lot of other things around the farm.
