    First of all, people wouldn't build their bases on the side if this would be implemented, simply because that would oepn up their bases to total destruction rather than any free shielding.
    Second of all, what you suggested there are actually things I thought about but I didn't find worth to suggest. It is true that I did not check the topics for them but when I come on the forums I wouldn't check dozens of pages of topics to see if it was suggested before, and the search function is of not much help either.

    The number of TH exposed is gradually but surely reduced as you go up in the league, most of them being in the gold and crystal leagues. When you reach masters and not to mention champions you are lucky to find one; I am currently farming in masters III and didn't come across an exposed TH in quite few days already.
    Point is, the mass of exposed TH are in the gold and crystal leagues, leagues which you cannot claim they are the basis of the resources in the game. The exposed TH in these areas are not helping the economy at all, with a 14k-65k loot bonus who actually hide more than 100-150-200k each.

    Explanation: The position of the TH would be a fixed one within a certain range, with around 3 more space in each corner than the solution number 1.

    Note:These two solutions are ONLY for the Farm Base, in your War base you will be able to put your TH wherever you want it to be.

    The problem with the system as a whole right now is that for the most part trophies are worthless to most people and are the only reward for successful defenses. With my town hall 9 the other night I forgot to put my town hall out showing about 300k/100k/2k. Now I technically had 6 defenses that night....2 zaps and 4 real attacks. In total I lost about 150k 100k and about 2500 dark, but I also had to rearm every single trap because I got both ground and air attacks....on the gold my trap rearming was almost the same as the loot lost in the raids themselves. Not to mention having to refill castle. Any changes to snipes would also have to come with significant changes to the defense rules as what is the point of putting up with this day after day if you aren't really trying to gain trophies?

    First, of all mate, there is no problem in TH expose or free shield for farmer.
    You want trophy get my TH outside,
    You want my resources attack and leave 49%
    You want trophy and resources, attack my base for 100%.

    Second, your idea of limit the area where we can put our TH is just like limiting the base design.
    Not very good idea. It will become all base design will be the same. And will be a big game changes.

    Third if you're suggesting to limit the TH expose or free shield
    it is better if SC make a loot bonus for Defence wining.
    if that will be happened I will be gladly put my 1 gold & elixir storage outside unprotected for loot bonus.

    That is a pure and clear example of what loot would've been hidden by a free shield. Now, I also agree the traps are a pain to re-arm and I agree with the fact that a defence would require some re-arming and additional costs. Now, the re-arm of the traps is not part of this topic so I will keep that apart, but the truth here is that the real pain in a defence is not losing the resources as much as it is to re-arm your traps. Most of the attacks can get half of the possible resources, so that is not much of a loss, the other aspects of the game make it look bad (i.e. re-arming traps).

    What I find interesting about this topic now is that people comment with viable solutions to more available loot in a single topic. I will try and do a research on the forums to gather all the viable solutions people had and perhaps put them in a new topic.

    Given the fact that most of you don't find this a great solution I will step back and would like to ask if possible a member of the staff to close the thread.

    If this was added, base diversity is gone, troll bases in all kinds less creative, and no one would have loot. i'm getting 100K/100K raids in high G2/Low G1 from pushers. If I was them, I'd be dissapointed that they got 2 starred from barch no spells and lost all loot. Loot is created through mines, pumps, loot bonus, and to a lesser extent SP levels. If this happened less loot would be in the economy. At the higher levels it would be literally impossible to save up for upgrades, especially if the (dreaded) and speculated TH11 comes out.

    Also, no one says "wrong subforum" anymore

    What affect loot availability are the amount of resources produced and the amount of them can be spend at any given time. Raiding only move resources from base to base, with league bonus as small addition. Until the production and spending of resources altered, no base design and raiding rule can be favorable to farming.

    I have a few things against this idea.
    First off, farming helps the economy. Think about it. Somebody in C3 who TH snipes someone gets 35k gold and elixir and 100 DE. This helps the sniper get good loot, and for the sniped to keep his/her loot. Also, sniping allows TH snipers to push to champs or a high league for the loot bonus, which allows then to get a lot of loot. Again, more loot is added to the economy. Also, some people will get the actual farmer's base, making them lose loot but giving loot to the person who raided the person. This also happens with people with regular bases. The economy, no matter what, will be okay. Normal raids and TH sniping both help the economy. If you're saying TH sniping ruins the economy, I guess regular raiding does as well.
