I realize waiting is part of the economics of the game, but no matter what type of army is being created; spells take significantly longer. Leaving the lightning spell would be a good idea to dissuade dark elixir storage zapping, which in my opinion isn't conducive to your aspirations for Clash of Clans gameplay.
