    A little food for thought

    When COC was first released, we had Town Hall levels up to EIGHT only.
    This being the case, taking down any base in 3 minutes was very much possible with little planning.
    Now that we have Town Halls 9+, the timer should have been brought up by 30 seconds to account for the increased number of buildings.
    There is no great thinking on the defender's part if you lose a raid because of time constraints. I'm not asking for 2 minute extensions.
    30 seconds is good.

    And in fact, something just struck me.
    Initially, we get 30 seconds to check out a base. If we drop a troop, a new timer of 3 minutes starts.
    So instead of doing that, why can't SC add the seconds in which you didn't spend time thinking to those 3 minutes?
    So if I dropped a troop in the 12th second of the first timer, I would get my stipulated 3 minutes AND 18 seconds which I could have spent checking out the base anyways!

    My initial reaction to this was "no, just try harder to beat it in 3 minutes - that's the point". However, some good points have been made and while I'm not totally convinced, maybe it should at least be considered. The part I like about this idea is that it allows you to try out different attack strategies instead of just using the same one all the time (i.e. the one that 3-stars the fastest). 4 minutes might be too much though. Maybe 3.5 mins would be better (if they were going to increase it at all).

    You might get more 3-star victories, but that also means other people will get more on you, so everyone has the same advantage/disadvantage. Even if they just did it for wars, where most attacks require you to kill CC troops first, which can 'waste' up to 45 seconds of your attack. This idea basically allows for different attack strategies/combos, which I like since I'm getting tired of using the same few army compositions and other people using the same ones on me. Still not 100% convinced though! haha
