I have thought of a few ideas that i would probably impliment if it was my game.... Let me know if you are thinking about any or shooting any down.... Here we go
NEW TRAP: oil explosion
Take a look at the grass.... A barbarian just walked freely toward your base and dodged every tower shot... What are you to do? Buy an oil canister!! A clay pot that is bought with (gold or dark elixer) that is like any other trap and bought with gold (or can be feuled with dark elixer) and upon an enemy walking close to it... It explodes and with a couple second delay, ignites oil in an area of effect that does damage over time to any troops in the radius of the explosion.
Other options: slow effect. Specific time the trap lasts on the ground after being set, unlimited time. Flying counterpart?.
THEME PACKS: textures
Take a look at the grass.... Isnt it plain? Imagine if there was a gem option to change the theme of your village? Minor changes to buildings such as snow if you buy a tundra. Or cracked and broken for wasteland. Western for a desert. Ect.... It would add tothe flavor of c.o.c.
Other options: timed build. Atributes for themes such as attack speed decrease for the tundra. Gold bought themes.
War donation changes: public castle
Look at the grass.... Then in white letteting you recieve troops, what if they werent the ones you wanted? You dont want to waist them? Or what if you want to give your clan troops but dont want to give the wrong ones? Put them in the new war community castle... Anyone can donate to the limited castle and anyone can take what they want (or elder+ destributes them to who they want them to go to). Then you get what you want and no one has to worry about the wrong troops unless their leader gives them the wrong one.
Other options: clan village? The owner and co leaders control but everyone pitches in?
NEW TOWER: ice tower
Look at the grass.... Then ignore it and look at the tower in front of you.... As a barbarian the tower seems easy to kill but you dont know what it is.... It charges and releases a pulse to you, when you notice other shots coming for you from other towers you try to run but are slowed and are an easier target for the mortars and cant reach the wall in time to do damage. An ice or slime tower that freezes troops would make planning harder and require more strategy when attacking.
Other options: single target slow, aoe pulse slow, multitarget slow. If multi or single target then change to non-slowed target. Some damage. Switch between 2 or 3 of the target options similar to the x bow and inferno tower.
NEW UNIT: goblin hawkrider
Look at the grass.... When you jotice the shadow, look up. Is it a minion? Is it a baloon? No its a goblin riding a hawk!?!? Yes... Like the skeletons the goblins have descided to take to the air, targeting rescourses they swoop down to claw at the gold and elixer collectors/ storages.
Other options: dark elixer troop. Paratroop a goblin when defeated. Throw fellow goblin's gold instead of swooping for the buildings. Ride mechanical choppers??
