Hay Day crashes when trying to open friends bar

I waited 15 minutes and it didn't resolve. So not a solution for everyone.

Not a solution for me either - I sent an in game support request & the good news is that I received a reply within 24 hours - the bad is that it was a canned response talking about how sc is working with Facebook to make the experience better & to make sure I'm saving my game etc, etc. I don't use FB - it was not at all relevant. The funny part was that they wanted me to rate the response - which I did ........

Hi everyone,

Currently there is a quick fix for this to let you enjoy your games, please either:
- connect to Facebook if you have one (and be advised that the link is permanent, you cannot change FB account later)
- sign out of Game Center (you won't be able to visit your friends).

Could you all try and feedback whether it works for you?

I seem to be able to get friendsbar working, by not touching it for a little while after starting game.
Have 435 in GC and about 100 followers.
I'm on iPad4 (md514kn/a) iOS 7.1.2

We checked around our Nh and it is only happening to those who installed the latest iOS that just came out, so I am holding off that for a few days.

Ipad 2 - constantly freezes when attempt to open friends bar! Have closed unnecessary apps, Bluetooth, etc.
