The amount of time for attacks in war sucks!!! Ive ended up running out of time to many times in war and ended up with 1 star. I used to love wars, but now its just adding stress knowing that my attacks are pointless.

So many threads about people wanting more time.
Time is what makes the attacks interesting, being able to balance the need to have tank units take out the defenses and damage troops in soon enough to clear the base. Being able to plan an attack to achieve the goal you want in <3minutes is what seperates good attackers from average attackers.
After a failed attack (what town hall level are you and what attack do you mainly use by the way) take a look at where you could be more efficient with time.
My analysis will be based on a gohowiwi (golem, hogs, wizards, witches) attack since it has most of the pieces
-How long did it take you to lure the troops out of the cc? and kill them?
-How long between when your troops start/finish killing the cc do you deploy your golem(s)?
-How long after you deploy your golem do you deploy wallbreakers, wizards, king?
-How long after your kill squad goes in do you send in your hogs?
-Did you keep any wizards for cleanup and how soon do you get them down?
I've seen attacks failed because someone took 90 seconds just to lure and kill the cc (half the battle gone), I've seen people deploy golems and take so long getting troops in behind the golems are almost dead before they are tanking for anybody. Learn to efficiently work through the steps of an effective attack and time will stop being an issue.
In most of my battles in war, I don't normally run out of time. If you do, it's no big deal really, just get over it. You still have a second attack to use after all.

I like the analysis.
I've run out of time on a few war raids with giant-healer. I tend to use too many giants, because I'm always afraid that I'll get unlucky and manage to spring all 4 spring traps, losing 12 giants. So I tend to bring at least 16 giants, which really limits how many WB's and wizards I can bring. I also set aside 20 troop space for luring/killing CC (usually 2-3 barbarians and 17-18 archers). I bring at least two healers, as it seems pointless to bring 1 and risk losing it so early that you could have just used a heal spell and 3 more giants.
Anyway, long story short, I almost never hit more than 2 spring traps, so I end up having a bunch of giants with very little DPS, punching on walls because they're stuck in the core, and maybe half a dozen surviving wizards trying to clean up way too many buildings. In my last war, I took out the town hall with 1 second left, but there was still a gold storage being worked on by two wizards, needed several more seconds for the 3rd star.
In addition to using too many giants, I also tend to wait too long to deploy my wizards. In my concern about losing a wizard due to poor tanking, I end up losing a lot of cleanup time.
I'll figure it out someday.![]()
