Cool Hay Day Sneak Peek: Neighborhood Derby

Sneak Peek: All-New Neighborhood Derby!! Read a bit more about it below!

You might be wondering: what is the Derby, and how does it work?

When the next update is available and you have it installed, fire up the game and tap on the new Derby Stand next to your Neighborhood house. Here you’ll find various tasks and challenges used to gain points for your Neighborhood. Tasks are actions already made in your daily farming life, like harvesting crops, truck and boat orders or excavating in the mine.

Tasks have different difficulty levels, so be sure to coordinate and communicate with your neighbors to decide on which tasks to choose.

Once you have completed a task, you will have contributed Derby points to your Neighborhood, and will see your horse galloping forward in the Racetrack!

You’ll notice small checkpoints across the Racetrack. For each of these thresholds you reach, you will receive a Horseshoe. At the end of the Derby, you’ll be able to choose prizes depending on how many Horseshoes your Neighborhood have won. And the greatest news of all, if you finish in the top 3, you’ll win even more prizes!

So get ready, join (or create your own) neighborhood now! More detailed information about the Derby will be available at launch!
And here's a teaser video of it in action:

    Cheers,

    Nick

    WOW!

    Sounds awesome!

So better NH = Better rewards?
or being in a lower level and being in top 3 will give more rewards?

Basically, it looks like the events but these are for individual neighbourhoods

Max 15 Neighborhoods (based on size, not level) will always race against each other, and the top 3 will then get extra rewards. However, you only need to surpass the thresholds to get some rewards. More details to come soon..

It may sound and look a bit overwhelming at first, but when you try out a couple of rounds it really is fun! Since this is no item-dump event or like, you get to keep all coins, XP etc. you would get from normal chores on your farm. Win-win!

    Cheers,

Oh confusion cleared, I thought it was amongst the single neighbourhood members.

Matchmaking system is what I am curious about next...
Does the race start at specific time and end after some interval?
Do we have to wait long for the 15 NH to get matched in the race?
    and many more...

And max 15? So who decides the number of NH who will participate in the race?

Nick, you should release the FAQ with the sneak peek itself, this isn't something you should keep people waiting for

How would a regular neighborhood ever be able to compete against one that is filled with players that have obviously h a ck ed the game and have millions of coins and diamonds?
