What im trying to say is plz add a confirmation before attack to avoid such happenings.
    Thx.
I agree in principle. The simplest solution would be the 30 seconds is locked for scout mode, though you can still tap next, after 30 seconds you go straight into attack mode.

    But my question is this.

If it was a good base to attack, why didn't you continue with the attack, you still have time to win or get the loot, happened to me the other day but I just carried on.

Actually, with no default unit selected, would it be possible to... you know, to actually tap on the defense buildings and get some info, as in level? Or maybe info on mines, collectors, and storages? Not CC troops, since that would be too much, and make some pitch a fit. Since no unit is selected, the game won't assume you are deploying troops, and could give you other stuff that normally is impossible when troops are selected. Just a thought...
You can generally tell how full collectors are by looking at the elixir collector, storages are again visible, and you can see the defences. As you go up you should learn the defences, I can instantly look at even TH9 bases and tell lvls of defences and where all the loot is.

But, as I play on a small screen, not selecting a default troop is the #1 thing I want in clash. It is the only thing I am still peeved off with SC about, as everything else in the game I think is perfectly balanced.
    -_-

I have a general idea what level defences are, but I don't know them all by heart, and I've been playing often, so I'm no newbie. Not seeing some low level stuff for so long, I forget exactly what they look like. And not having seen enough of the high level stuff, I don't know, right there, with time pressure, just how strong they are.

And as for loot, you should know how misleading the crude animation levels in the storage and collectors can get. I'm familiar with what to look for, but I have to hit Next for those iffy bases, since the collectors look not quite full, and the 'empty' storages can have a surprisingly amount of loot in them.
Town Hall: 9 (Mid Stage) Level: 110+ Base Type: Back to a real one, as SC intended
Mostly inactive after leaving TH8, but I keep up the yard work (for gems!). Angry Neesons everywhere rejoice! Our time for satisfaction seems to be on the horizon! |REPORTING FORUM POSTS... if i see high level stuff im not familiar with i just assume it will destroy all of my stuff and press skip

and as far as the actual topic goes, i cant tell you how many times i've fat-fingered the next button and accidentally dropped troops. once that happens, i just go all out and try to get something out of it

what if the base you're attacking is much stronger than u can deal with??

try to locate a weakpoint, maybe an elixir storage to recoup the elixir from your troops, you dont have to you can certainly press surrender but im just saying the troops are already dropped and that can't be undone. you can either lose the trophies and conserve your troops for your next attack or try to get some sort of reward (though if they are much higher you will still probably lose trophies)
