Hogs are not dead, not by a long shot. I see three stars at th10 3000+ cups at least 2-3x per week in our clan via replays.

As popular as they were? No. Still being used? You bet, and quite well. You're probably not seeing it at 3500+, but if you dipped a bit lower you absolutely would start seeing it hit.
