Hero selective targeting

I'm tired of my Heroes running around outside the base!! If we could drop the heroes and select a target for them to go to, it would be much more effective to get them to the center of the base and do what is planned in the strategy. Let the regular troops run as they do but Heroes should be leaders and be able to select their enemy.

But then they become almost OP. If I could take a hero, and selective target it for say Elixer, or deftness then I have a max destruction weapon that does what I want. With how it is now, the heroes are still good and they don't have any problems.

I've seen another idea like this. It's too OP.

perhaps if you could change the hero's preferred target to suit your strategy better. For example, Say I want my king to target defenses and my queen to target loot. i would just toggle them so. i feel that this would be less op then your idea but still very close to it.

OP? Over Powered? I just want them to head for the TH really... but I don't see how selecting targets would make them any more powerful. Just having them directed would give more strategy control which I feel the game could use.
