thought of an idea that could offer some new incentive to troops, its probably going to overpower them so maybe its something to think about when the new th level comes in
its called the weaponsmith
each troop would be upgradabe like in the lab but this would not increase the base stats, this would be a weapon that they can carry that would change some aspect of the attack
for example
barbarian has a sword, but the weaponsmith could upgrade his weapon three different ways, one with gold make stronger swords, but they could use elixer also make him a hammer, the hammer doesnt increase the attack like the sword does but it does x 2 to walls so they drop quicker, and finally a battleaxe with dark which makes barbs area attack like valks
same for archers, they have stronger arrows with gold, fire arrows with elixer that do extra burn damage, and explosive arrows with dark elixer which do area attack (which is obviously ranged)
this would apply to all troops and the weapons would be interchangeable, so if you wanted to go back to swords you could do like you change the range of x bow and ferno towers it would be accessible from the weaponsmith, and they would have levels as well so you would have to upgrade each weapon one at a time,
obviously it would come in at th10 as any lower and it would be too easy to win, and the weapons are not transferable to clan castles troops, they are made only for the attacking troops to avoid boosting lower players too much
